I stayed at Alexander's house till the morning. I stayed on his couch staring at the fire in the fireplace. It was getting colder and the days were getting shorter.
Rain poured down filling the canal till it was an inch from the walk way. I made my way back from the village trying to keep under the trees along the path to stay dry.
Finally I entered the dorms soaking wet. The dorms were empty. The silence seamed so loud that it crushed me. But I enjoyed the silence. My life had been so hectic the past week that all I needed was to be alone.
Then I got an idea. Quickly and Quietly I walked over to Johns room and opened the door slowly. His room was the same as my but a little smaller. His room was also a mess. His desk had paper all over. I crept over to his desk looking at the papers. It was all school work besides one paper that was burnt around the edges. I picked up the paper and felt my jaw drop.Jaxon Fern Hill:

I heard the door open. "Let me just get one thing." John said. Quickly I dropped the note and dashed towards the closet. I opened the door and slid behind a large winter coat as he walked into the room. John grabbed the paper putting it into his bag. Then he grabbed three sheets of paper and put them in room as well. He left the room closing the door behind him. I crept out of the closet and scanned around the room. The door opened and John stood in the doorway.
"What are you doing in here?" John questioned.
"Nothing!" I lied and started to walk for the door. John stepped forward and froze my feet.
"What were you doing in here?!" He yelled at me.
"I- I- was trying to find out if you liked Ella." I made up.
"Well for your information we went on a date the other night." He smiled. I broke the Ice around my feet and stormed off, my heart burning in fury, pain, and jealousy. I needed to expose John not just for the world so I could prove to my friends, and Ella, that I was right, and that he was not who he said he was.

I sat across from Rose at the picnic table in the courtyard.
"You seem tired." Rose told me.
"I am." I replied truthfully. I had gotten no sleep with the idea of John being possessed by darkness. I wanted to tell Rose but I couldn't risk her knowing. As a member of the Gifted Six I had protection from Darkness, Rose on the other hand could be possessed by Darkness and tell him all of the things I had told her.
"Have you tried talking to James or the others recently?" Rose questioned.
"No," I deadpanned. "I don't want to."
"Well to be fair Jaxon you can't just talk to me for the rest of your life." Rose replied.
"I know."
"How about you talk to Ella. She is more then just a friend to you it seems." Rose advises.
"No." I said looking down sadly.
"She's dating John isn't she." Rose said touching my hand. I nodded.
"Flirt." I heard Rose whisper.
"I feel bad." I told Rose. "Because of me you and Ella aren't friends anymore."
"I chose not to be friends with Ella." Rose tried to tell me but I argued. The bell rung and I left Rose and my tray of food, hurrying to get out of the conversation.
The rest of school seamed as if 1 minute was an hour and an hour was day. Finally the bell rung and I walked briskly away from hell (aka Elemental History). Opening the doors to the Academy I hugged my chest, the wind blowing my hair all over. I walked passed the lake as rain fell from the heavans landing in the lake creating ripples desturbing the smooth surface. Deciding to take the short cut to my dorms I followed a skinny path into the trees. Here the rain seamed non-exsistant, the sky made of orange, yellow, and gold leaves. As I walked over a bridge going over a small creek I heard familair voices talking.
I peaked around the corner and felt my jaw drop. Ella and John stood suspended in a kiss. Ellas dirty blonde hair shown with glistening rain drops stuck in it.
Ice crept from my hands freezing the ground I was standing on. Forcing myself to look away I walked passed them keeping my head down.
----------------------------------------------------------------There you go! I know this chapter was on the shorter side but I hope you will forgive me. The next chapter should be eventful and hopefully a bit longer. My chapters tend to be 900- 2000 words which tends to be 6-10 pages in a novel.
