I walked up into a small one room cabin locking the wooden door behind me. It was made entirely of wood, cracks inbetween the logs. A bed sat in the right corner a dresser beside it. I picked up Ellas clothes from the floor throwing them to her. She slipped on her shirt and winter jacket and her skinny jeans. I took my sweater from the same spot and pulled it over my head feeling the warm fabric against my bare skin.
"Where are we?" I whispered to Ella. Snow pilled up against the cabing at least three feet. Branches had created holes in the deep snow, collapsed from the ammount of snow that had fallen. We were defiantly farter north then where we were last night. The sky was a sea of grey, snow falling lightly from the dark clouds.
"I don't know..." Ella answered.
"Can you use your powers again?" I asked.
Ella closed her eyes and lifted her hand. "No." She whispered a tear falling from her eye.
"What do we do?" I stammered.
"We walk in a random direction and hope that we come to a town and get back home." Ella answered her eyes stern. Ella and I walked through the snow for hours until the world fell dark. We cept walking using a small ball of pure energy as light. Soon we came to a river and decided to set up camp. We had little light and nothing to keep us warm so we dug a hole in the snow that would hopefully keep us a little bit warmer. I layed down in the snow Ella beside me and stared at the sky very few stars appearing.
"Jaxon?" Ella whispered.
"Yeah?" I replied.
"I'm scared."
"So am I."
I turned to face Ella rapping my arm around her stomach to keep her warm. "You're safe with me." I told her and we both fell asleep into a world of night mares.
I was running. Alec chased me holding Ella's head by her hair. "I'm coming to get you..." He yelled. I cept running until I tripped over a rock and fell. I had lost my sence of direction, the darkness masking the world from me like a blanket. All of a sudden fire danced around me lighting the world into an eerie glow. Eight Alecs emerged from the darkness walking through the fire straight towards me. Theirs mouth opened and the world fell away from me.
I sat bolt upright. The sun rose from behind the trees casting the world into light. The darkness was gone. Laying back down in the snow shivering I looked over at Ella's sleeping face. She must be tramatized. Being nearly raped would have shaken anyone. Ellas eyes opened suddenly.
"Nightmare?" I asked concerend. She nodded her head. "Me too." We got up both our stomachs rumbling.
"Lets follow the river." Suggested Ella. I nodded and we started walking along the small stream its cold waters moving swiftly.
The first sign of humanity we saw was a bridge. As Ella and I emerged from a clearing we noticed a bridge going above the river. No cars drove on it though. I stumbled up the steep sloped of the bank pulling Ella up with me. The roads were dirt. Meaning that it was a far way away from any town, but it at least gave us some direction.
"Does this bridge seam familiar to you?" Ella questioned.
"Yeah..." I stuttered... "But where have we sean it before?"
Ignoring the though I cept walking Ella taging along behind me.
The world was silent. The snow had stopped falling but the grey clouds had turned darker casting the world into an eerie darkness. It wasn't night time.; night time was a different darkness, this darkness was the darkness of a storm.
"A storms comming." I told Ella as we took a break beneath a birch tree.
"That sounds really dramatic." She laughed.
"I know." I smiled. My attention was drawn when a snap went out from the distance. And then a scream. "What was that?" I gulped.
"I don't know, and I don't want to." Ella squeled.
We got up instantly and started running away from where the scream had come from. Soon it was night time, and to make matters worse, we were in the middle of a blizzard making visabily even worse. Another branch snapped. Ella and I's attention was drawn to it.
Out from behind a tree emeged Alec. He was in nothing but his boxers blood splattered on his stomach, no doubt from who ever had screamed the previous hour. "Hello Ella." He laughed. "You're awake! Great! It should make things more interesting. In a second Ella was at Alecs side, Alec using his super speed.
"Jaxon!" Ella screamed. "Run!" There was no chance I was running.
I sent a ray of Ice at Alec. It his him in the chest only making him grunt. The section of his chest where I had stabbed him with the Ice dagger had closed pale skin replacing it. Alecs laugh rung out as he stripped of Ellas shirt and jacket revealing her bare skin (beside her bra) Ella's lips turned blue from the cold tears running down her face. Sending another ray of Ice at Alec he threw Ella to the ground.
As he slipped off his boxers a brillaint light filled the my vision. It died out a second later Alec gone.
"I-I killed him!" Ella sobbed pulling on her cloths again. "Jaxon! I killed someone!"
"You didn't kill someone. You killed a monster." I embraced Ella in a hug as she sobbed into my shoulder.
We continued walking wanting to leave behind the previous scene. Blinded from the darkness Ella and I walked straight into a wall of rock. The world went white disapearing from beneath us.
