Swirls of color passed me... Where was I?  I looked back to find Ella gone. "Ella!" I yelled, but no sound came from my mouth.

It seamed as if I was in a tunnel a bright light sat at the end of it. I ran towards it as fast as I could eager to get out of this tunnel. Then I fell through the white opening and my ears popped. I felt cold snow underneath me. Bolting up I saw Ella fall from the wall of a cliff above. She landed on her back sitting up like I had.

"Did we just go through..." Ella started.

"A portal..." I finished. "We're at the Academy!"

Adrenaline running through both our blood streams we ran towards the place we shouldn't be seeing for the next week and a half. The blizzard was still blowing down obscuring our view. Soon we had to stop running, the snow becoming to deep. We waded through the deep snow making everything below our knees wet.

I saw the lights of the Academy up a head and ran Ella behind me. Soon we ran down the hill and into the doors of the Academy.

"Ella? Jaxon?" A familiar voice rung out. We turned our heads to find Aira sitting on a couch in the lobby.

"Aira!" Ella squealed, running up to her and giving her a hug.

"Whats going on down there?" Mrs. Nicole's voices rung from the balcony. "Jaxon?! Ella?! What are you doing here?"

"Well... we were Ice skating, and then the Ice broke which is impossible because Jaxon froze the whole lake, and then he saved my life but I couldn't use my powers and I fainted. And then I woke up in a cot in a basement that smelt like blood and this vampire rapist guy named Alec came in and almost raped me, but Jaxon froze his blood and we ran in a random direction. Then we heard a scream and we kept on running and then Alec appeared out of no where tried to rape me again but there was a bright light and he was gone." Ella said explaining the whole story.

"Alec..." Mrs. Nicole whispered, the words ringing off her tongue with venom.

"Do you know him?" I asked. Mrs. Nicole closed her eyes a tear falling from one. I had never seen Mrs. Nicole sad.
"My brother." She told us whipping her tears away. "Now follow me, we must get you something to eat. As for you Ella... you said your powers weren't working?" Ella nodded. "Shi-" She started remembering that we were present.

As if her memory had been wiped she continued on walking towards the cafeteria. "Martha!" She called as we entered the cafeteria. "Could you please fetch these two some dinner." It turns out that Martha wasn't a human...  A fairy came zooming out of a bare wall and stood in front of Mrs. Nicole. She was the size of my ring and wore rose pedals as a dress. Her strawberry colored hair was tied up into a tight bun on her head. I saw her head nod and then she disappeared leaving a twinkle of ruby colored dust.

A minute or so later, of Ella and I talking to Aira, Martha flew back with small plates in her hands. "Here you go." Her voice surprisingly low for a fairy who's voice's were usually high. The tiny plates disappeared from her hands and re-appeared on a table ten times bigger. A pile of pesto pasta with garlic bread sat on the table, steam still whisking up into the air.

Quickly, Ella and I devoured our warm food, for we had nothing since the other day. Then something hit me square in the thinking box. "What happened to Alec? He dissipated in this bright red flash?" I questioned.

"Because he is a magical creature who is not related or known by this hidden area of the magic world he was warped away about a province away..." Nicole explained.

"He's still a threat." I told her dead serious.
"I'm well aware of that."

After we finished talking, the subject of Ella's powers seemingly non-existent, we all went our separate directions, Nicole back to her office, Aira and Ella back to the dorms. But I had to check something first. I walked away from the cafeteria into the common room in the lobby. Making sure no one was present I felt against the book shelf on the right hand side of the room. Pushing a book out of the way I revealed a book labelled; Secret's. I pressed my hand to it and the book shelf pushed away revealing a spiral staircase downwards. As I walked downwards memories flashed in and out.

A rock flew past my head followed by a blast of lightning. I skidded into the hub. Quickly I ran into the Common room (the hang out room). I was trapped. The two boys had just entered the hub and in the common room, I was pretty much trapped. I stumbled back into a bookcase and fell onto the ground. Then I got an idea that would give me some time to think of something. From the ground, I raised both my hands creating a wall of Ice blocking off the entrance. I grabbed onto the book shelf to get up. The book shelf split apart quietly revealing a spiral stair case leading down. I heard a rock hit the Ice; I had no choice, I had to go down. The bookcase started closing; quickly I slipped through a small crack and headed down the stairs.

Before Scarlet had.... because of me. Blinking away tears I continued down the stares into the dark room. I pulled down the chain flicking on the light bulb. The book sat in the same place, a new layer of dust over it.

***

I looked around. Bookshelves lined the walls filled with old ancient books. There were piles of books scattered around the room. The floor was stone and so was the ceiling. A small dusty wooden chair sat in the corner of the room with a book on it. I walked over to the chair and picked up the book. I dusted it off and read the title. The Gifted Six Encyclopedia. I gasped. This must have meant that the last person in this room was a member of the Gifted Six.

***

The mess in the room substantial I put the books away accordingly. I ran my finger across the books until I found a book called: Severe Elemental Conditions. With a sigh of relief I pulled it out and sat down on the wooden chair.

I flipped to page 31 and flipped through until I came to the last page. The page had been ripped out I knew that it had to be the page that had my answers on it... The only person that came to my mind was John.
