As soon I had finished breakfast I rushed to Ella's house. Snow was still falling lightly, landing on the white blanket encasing the earth. As I neared Ella's house a burgundy car pulled out of the drive way. A young boy and two adults were in the car laughing and singing songs, Ella was not in the car.
Ella's house was a dull grey color. The windows were encased in a faded blue, snow resting peacefully. I knocked on the door and Ella opened a few seconds later. I walked into Ella's house and was greeted by the feeling of warmth. White lights twinkled all around us like stars in the night sky. The aroma of freshly made bread and pine came bursting from the kitchen making my stomach growl.
Ella lead me into the kitchen and motioned me to sit down at the island. "Why'd your family leave you here?" I asked quietly knowing it was a sensitive topic.
"I was never close with them..." Ella said, her voice wavering. "And, when I went to the Academy, they got mad at me."
"Why?" I asked.
"They didn't want me to go.." She answered. "But when they were talking to Mrs. Nicole I asked her if I could even though they didn't want me to. So on the day she was coming to pick me up I climbed out of my window with my suitcase." Ella wiped two tears from her cheeks. "Lets see the notes."
I opened the white box carefully revealing the papers. Ella snatched the papers and read them an array of Pain, anxiety, nerves, and hope displayed on her face. "Thats it?" She cried a tear falling from her eye. "There's no way to get my powers back!"
"Yes there is..." I assured her.
"Jaxon, you read it! There's no known way!"
"There's no known way..." I started. "Which means will make a way."

It just so happened that my father was going on a business trip where Scarlet's funereal was. Ella, my dad, and I sat squished on the airplane as it soared above what must have been Manitoba, we were going all they way to New Brunswick so my father had decided to get some shut eye, his snores ringing out louder then an elephants.
Finally we touched down at the run way. The sun had set, it was midnight back at home but here it was five in the morning. We drove quietly to a hotel that we had booked for the week.
As I lied on the floor staring up at the ceiling from the comfort of my sleeping bag thoughts flashed through my head.

The boy started shaking, his clothes ripped as his body morphed into a giant wolf. He charged at me knocking me into a gurney. I raised my hands to surround myself in a ball of Ice but before I had the chance he tackled me. He shifted back into his human form quickly and sent a punch at my face, missing me by a hair. I remembered that Werewolves were incredibly strong from one of Elise's books I had read. He put his arms together and brought them down. It all seamed to go in slow motion; I put my hands up to my face, and I felt that same surge of power I had felt when I had fought Scarlett. A light blue light shown from my tattoo and then Scarlett's brother flew back into the wall. By now people were running towards us and yelling at us. The werewolf ran at me and threw another punch, this time it hit be sending me flying back into the wall. I heard the wall crack, and I fell onto the floor hitting my head; diving into an unconscious world.

My eyes snapped open. I got up quietly, still in yesterdays clothes. It was the day of Scarlet's funeral and I was trying to keep myself stable. Pulling on my shoes I walked out of the hotel room, and out of the hotel.
The frigid air stung my face. Dispite it being early morning, cars zoomed by the hotel not paying attention to me; the fourteen year old who was in charge of making sure that the world wouldn't be destroyed.
I headed back up to the hotel room to find both Ella and my dad up. Sitting down at the table I grabbed a muffin from a container and ate it quietly. Scarlet's funereal started in an hour and a half so Ella and I were going to walk around and look at the shops.
As we walked down the side walk Ella asked me something. "Why are you so nervous!?"
"Because I killed the person that we are morning today..." I replied with a glare. We continued walking to an old church where the funeral was taking place.
It was an old church, and it smelt highly of mildew. The walls had painting on them, with stained glass windows above turning the world outside into a rainbow.
I sat in the back of the room, tears falling lightly, like the snow outside. "She was so full of joy." An older lady finished, and then what I assumed was Scarlet's mom stood up. "Thank you all for coming..." She cried tears soaking her face. "Refreshments will be in the room to the left. Thank you."
Ella and I stood up stiffly. Wiping my tears away I walked down some steps and into a dining room. A rich smell came from various tarts and cookies.
"Its you again." I turned around to find Scarlet's brother. He was tall and muscular, no doubt a werewolf thing... "You miserable, ugly, freaking, bitch!" He was screaming and crying like he was having a mental break down.
"Calm down.." I pleaded. "I didn't mean to kill Scar-"
"Don't say her name!!!" He screamed people rushing into the room. I heard a crack and a rip and a large wolf stood in front of me. It had dark fur and eyes the color of blood. He jumped at me, I ducked in time as he soared over my head into a table of pie. He landed and turned towards me letting out a howl. Another crack and then a rip. I turned around to see another wolf joined by another, both a dark brown red.
As they jumped at me again I ducked and rolled out of the way. I sat up and sent a light ray of Ice at them freezing there feat to the ground. If we weren't at a funeral I may of sent Ice pelting at them but before I had a chance Ella pulled me out of the church.
"You had one thing to do!" Ella snapped at me as we walked away.
"What was it?" I asked.
"Don't cause an fights!" And with that Ella pulled me back to the hotel.
