The gentle sun streams through the open blinds, flittering around the room, and pulls me from my deep sleep. The best nights sleep I've had in ages.

I stretch out, feeling in complete and utter bliss. Wait, who's room am I in?

Bolting up I study the navy quilt with my fingers, daring myself to look to my left.

"Shit," I whisper when I finally urge the courage to glance at Eli.

I gaze longingly at him as he lies serenely on his back; eyes closed, mouth slightly open. In some way his heavy breathing calms me and I almost close my eyes again.

Just as I'm drifting back off, something inside me jolts and I slowly pull the covers away and gradually rise from the bed so not to wake Eli. The last thing I need right now is a conversation with him, he may not find it awkward but I already do.

I tiptoe across the shadowed floor, picking up my things from last night that are now scattered across the floor. As quietly, as if I'd never even been there I slip through Eli's door and once out of no man's land and into safety, I make a run for it. Just hoping that Cara's room is now empty of my brother.

"Where do you want us to take these boxes?"

Me and Cara are currently doing our Summer job of organising Al's garage. Every summer, Al would give us at least one project "to make ourselves useful".

"Sort each one into three piles; throw, charity shop and keep," Al explains moving a box "then I'll help you organise everything we're keeping so it isn't like a jumble sale in here."

"Easy enough," Cara sighs sarcastically raising her eyebrows.

"Well then get started, the sooner you start the sooner you'll be done." Al gives us a big smile before wandering off humming her favourite Les Miserables song.

"Well, we do have a reinforcement in Mason coming soon so why don't you quickly tell me what went on last night with you and my brother?"

"What?" I gape up at Cara who's smiling cheekily as she routes through a box, how does she know?

"Well Jeremy was with me all night ... not doing anything like that before you accuse me," she gives my smirk a stern glare "and I know you didn't sleep in one of the spare rooms."

"So?"

"So you mean to tell me you spent a whole night in Eli's room and nothing happened? That boy has a sex drive like a rabbit."

"Ew," I groan pulling a face.

"Yeah I know," she says giving me a tortured look.

"Well ..."

"I knew it! So give me the details."

Before I can further fight for my innocence, we're interrupted by the loud announcement of Mason.

"Hey girls, apparently we have my sister's hoard to sort through!" He's looking very dapper in designer shades with a very expensive looking leather jacket and well fitted black jeans.
