“Wild, Wild Hawaii”
A field, walking around, around . . . 5pm
*Kathryn's POV*
So Kat had another idea. She said, since we “Haven't had enough adventures” since we landed in Hawaii, she's decided to lead us on a wilderness adventure. Fun, eh? Not really. Hawaiian mosquitoes are nasty looking. Plus, we're in the middle of nowhere with no map, no compass, and now sense of direction. We're in a clearing/field area in a forest we managed to find ourselves in. I'm the only one besides the guys that's really dressed aptly for walking through the woods—khaki cargo pants, Docs, white tank top, tan visor, and bug spray—, whereas Kat is dressed in denim shorts, flip flops, and a pink tank top, AJ's dressed in a long sleeve black and white shirt and ripped jeans—and acting weird again, I don't know why—, Alma is dressed in wedge heels, acid washed jeans, and a black, lacy top, and Maria's clad in white capris, lime green tank top, and flip flops.
I don't see how Alma was my best friend for YEARS and never caught on how to dress in the wilderness.
“I'm hot!” Alma whined. I looked over at her and rolled my eyes.
“Well, what'd you expect in Hawaii in Summer? I snow storm?” I asked sarcastically.
“It'd be nice,” she said back. I just laughed and looked around at our area.
“Hey, Kat?” I called her attention, jogging up behind her. She turned to me and smiled.
“What's up?”
“Do you actually, you know . . . know where we're going?” I asked hopefully.
“Oh, that's the fun of it! I don't!” she answered cheerfully. “Hey, aren't guys supposed to know where's North and South and that crap?”
“Yeah, why?” I asked.
“JUSTIN, WHICH WAY ARE WE GOING?!” she yelled back at her fiancé.
“NORTH!” he yelled back.
“Okay, it should be cooler soon, then,” she said, turning back to me. I just shook my head and happened to look to my right. I gasped and stopped in my tracks. Everyone else stopped and Alex jogged up to me.
“What's wrong?” he asked. I didn't take my eyes off of what I saw. I actually ended up smiling a little.
“Wild pig!” I said, pointing to my right, which is exactly where Mike happened to be standing.
“Well, thanks!” he said back, looking extremely offended.
“Not you, you ***clown, behind you!” I said, gesturing for him to move. He did, and I saw a REAL wild pig eating some grass about 30 yards away from us. Everyone ooed and awed at it.
“I'ma catch it, hold my walking stick,” Kat said, thrusting her walking stick at me and beginning to walk towards it. I grabbed the strap of her shirt and yanked her back to me.
“Are you crazy? That thing can kill a person! Probably.” I whisper yelled. She tutted at me and took back her stick.
“I'll use this, then!” she said, holding it up.
