31. The search (part 6)

I ran immediately feeling scared to see them. I don't know how it happened but a door got opened as if to save me. So I came out of the hospital. Other three officers too joined me later. They believed the people are not dead but could be the local people trying to scare us. I felt stupid for thinking them as ghosts.

We searched about the girl and got to know she was one of the patients whose body is missing. Her brother filed a case in the station about his missing sister. He believed she is alive when we talked to him. We enquired about him and got nothing except that she was admitted after she had a near death experience. there is nothing we got which pointed towards a crime.

It's been two weeks since I stayed in hyderabad. I found nothing which is discouraging the librarian. He was sure that he is seeing his dead fiancee every day and was stubborn to avenge her death.

It's time that I leave this city and go to my mansion as my son's birthday is in two days. I can't miss his fifth birthday.

Today I found out a cruicial matter that a person is going in the hospital everyday at afternoon and speaking with someone. The police officers tried to catch him red handed but he is escaping all the time.

This week had been upsetting my family. I got to know the staff who survived the accident relocated to different states. I spoke with few of them but they only shivered in fear when I asked about the girl.

I am seeing the dead officer since a week. He appears outside my house staring at me. My elder son is not sleeping in nights saying a ghost is watching him from his wardrobe. My wife started freaking out too much when she stays alone in the house. The dogs which loves living in the house stopped entering the house. They are preferring the cold nights over the warm home.

Take care of your love teddy bear....

The last words confused the three friends except arjun. There is only one in this world who uses the word teddy.  He ran downstairs ignoring his friends yelling at him to stop. His friends realising only his sister calls him teddy, they followed him again. To the lawn this time.

"Pooja!" Arjun screamed.

"I know you are here pooja. Come to your brother" arjun shouted.

Pooja hid under the well. She wanted to meet him but was scared. She died afterall. It means she can't stay with her brother. She can't play with him or tease him. She tried to cry but they never formed in her eyes.

"Pooja!" Arjun shouted again. Mohit placed his hand on arjun's shoulder.

"Maybe she left arjun" he spoke.

"Maybe she left us something here" saying that arjun went back to the room and searched all the place with his friends. He found nothing.

"We should check downstairs" sampath advised him. They all left the room with the articles on the hospital and the diary of Mr. Bhoomesh. They went down and searched the room. Arjun found the diary which his sister found in the hospital. Danush found her phone which is switched off. Mohit found few articles on Bhoomesh. Sampath found a note under the bed. He read out loudly.

" daddy says there is no ghost in this house. I see mr. Kiran daily. He says he's a police officer. He scars me daily. Today I saw josh speaking in a different voice. He tried to kill mom with a big knife. Daddy swore there is no ghost but I know he is scared to move out of house. After the call three days back, daddy never came out of his room. I heard him saying he will get it out of josh but I wish he never speaks with the ghost again" 

"No way I'm staying in this house! " declaring that danush walked out of the house. His friends grabbed all the belongings and came out. Danush still spoke loudly that he will never go after a ghost again. He was about to open the gate but screamed seeing a girl outside the gate. The girl too screamed with him.

"Oh please shut up both of you! Behave like adults" jyotsna scolded both of them. Danush gave a stupid smile and smriti relaxed knowing she's not seeing a ghost.

"Whay are you doing here?" Jyotsna asked him.

"I was about to ask the same question" danush countered her. Sampath came towards them and kind of yelled at them. Arjun saw his sister's friends outside the gate. He knew why they have come here. He wished pooja never died.

Pooja saw her friends speaking with sampath. She noticed her brother's dull face. She wished she could be with him but it will distract him.....he will not work on vinamra then. She wants to have her revenge and that means she has to be away from her brother to keep the fire growing inside him....

All of them sat in the restaurant. Arjun was not much hungry to eat. Danush on other side pushed the food into his mouth as he liked the taste of it.

"Can't you eat properly? " disha asked him.

"Can't you speak properly?" Danush asked with food stuffed in his mouth.

"Come on eat ajju. I will only eat if you complete your dinner" sampath blackmailed his best friend. Arjun reluctantly took the spoon and half heartedly ate the food.

"I heard samyuktha isn't eating...." smrithi spoke to arjun. He just nodded his head knowing how she felt about her friend's death.

"I tried to call her mother and she was scared to give the phone to sam" jyotsna said to her friends. As the boys have seen her before they knew how bad her situation is.

"her father has taken appointment of a psychiatrist. It seems like she wasn't sleeping since two weeks and now she isn't eating at all. I went to her home. You should've seen her mother.....even the servants are scared to hear her name. Except for her father no one is entering the room. Even her room has no window now. I've asked her mother and she doesn't even dare to send people to her room" disha said.

Arjun's blood boiled as he imagined the pain of his fiancee. He remembered the wounds on her arm which was bleeding when he saw her last time. It made him remember his sister and the whole scene how he found her covered in blood and later was told she was dead. He will avenge his sister.... he will avenge on behalf of every victim the ghost has killed. He has his aunt's nandana's diary. He will solve the mystery..... and he will have his revenge.

He was too lost in his thoughts that he did not think about samyuktha or what is she doing now......it will definitely shock him if he hears even half of it.
