22. unexpected

Pooja finished the diary but still she has no idea how to solve the issue. She tried to contact the exorcist but he is not willing to help her as the ghost has killed many people even before she died meaning she is too violent and he can't handle it.

Pooja is sitting on her bed holding a teddy. The sunlight is clearly visible outside but her room is still cold. She got used to the low temperature and also the occasional touches she felt once a while in her room. Though the touch brought shivers in her, pooja knew it is not Vinamra haunting her but it is nandana. She strongly believed it though she did not see her again.

The phone call disturbed her thoughts. It is Samyuktha.

"You must have accidentally called someone else" pooja teased her friend.

"I thought I could speak with my friend pooja" Samyuktha continued the melodrama. Even though she is smiling pooja knew her voice lacked the energy.

"Still worried about the ghost?" Pooja asked her.

"I am unable to sleep" Samyuktha told her. Pooja noticed her voice shaking indicating she is crying silently.

"We will get rid of her Samyuktha. You don't have to worry too much" pooja got up and walked to her brother's room which is next to her's. Arjun is laughing with his friends when pooja entered his room. She directly kept the phone in his hands. Arjun doubtfully placed the phone on his ear and was shocked to hear Samyuktha crying.

"Why is the bride crying? "Arjun asked his fiancee. She got alerted to his voice and tried to cover herself.

" No nothing. I am just cutting onions" samyuktha lied to him. He is not a fool to believe her so he asked again what happened.

Pooja left the room as she knew arjun can handle his girl. She stared into her room which is oddly cold unlike the heat just outside the room. She thought for awhile which only gave her headache. She sat on her bed and slowly dozed off.

Pooja woke up from her dream when her phone buzzed beside her. She lazily rubbed her eyes and checked the caller. It is the exorcist!

" Thank you so much for helping me!" She blurted.

"I haven't said that I will do the exorcism" Mr. Bhoomesh told her. Her hopes crushed down listening to his words.

"But I believe there is more that what you say about the ghost" he prolonged the conversation. She got confused.

"I don't understand what you say" she told him honestly.

"Will you please meet me personally. I have few questions to ask"

"but sir, can't you ask me now?" Pooja is not at all ready to go to Delhi just to know what questions he has. Not only that but her brother's marriage is in a week. He will never allow her to leave the city nor he likes her to work alone on the issue. So she wanted him to ask her now in the phone.

"I think you are dealing with ghost stronger than regular ones . They don't target a single person or hurt them badly. So I want you to be here in five days. May be I can help you without performing an exorcism" his last words did not give her the confidence she had, reading articles on him. She read that he got injured in an accident after doing an exorcism in gujarat. His family died in that accident. After that the person came out of his profession. She thought she can get him convinced by making him know how badly her friend is tortured by the ghost.

" But...." pooja wanted to say no.

"I know it is hard for you to meet me. But come to my house. I can get you some help if you talk to my friends here" she knew he is though not promising about the exorcism, he is indirectly promising to give her help. So she said she will meet him personally. Bhoomesh offered her to stay in his house till she leaves Delhi. She thanked him.
