19. surprise

Sorry guys for the late update. I wasn't well and also busy to meet you again. I have tried my best to get your friendship back by writing these two chapters. I am praying god you will appreciate it......

Arjun thought of surprising Samyuktha so he went to her home without informing her. He felt himself standing on the top of himalayas when Samyuktha messaged him last night. He got hyperexcited and chatted as if he is trying to speak everything he could have in ten years. She also chatted with a feeling she never felt before. She felt relieved and at the same time was shy. She felt her heart beating enthusiastically for each message he sent. Their conversation changed from missing each other to their kiss. They both felt shy but also some kind of bond between them growing..... the night had been something new yet made their hearts beat in happiness.

He was greeted by his mother in law who was surprised at first but smiled at him. He would have felt happy if her smile was not too exaggerated. Maybe she was the woman laughing whenever he called her daughter. It only made him feel bad.

"Gopal see who has come to meet you" rupa raised her voice so that her husband can hear her. He came down adjusting his tie. He also at first was surprised only he became calm as if he is a strict principal and a naughty student entered his cabin.

"What brings you here?" He asked arjun. Arjun tried to say something but the words died in his throat.

"I don't bring work to my house or speak about it here" gopal told him. Rupa tried hard not to laugh watching her husband become strict to their son in law.

"I thought to ask you about the diary " he spoke suddenly remembering the conversation he had with his sister. Gopal looked startled but he spoke realising he had scared the poor girl.

"I have seen that diary almost twenty five years back in a house which we suspected belonging to a killer"

"Who was she?" Arjun asked him.

"It is not a girl but a boy. He used to harrass a girl saying he loves her. She never told her parents or friends about him. But one day he killed her in front of your aunt"

That shocked arjun. He heard his aunt was admitted in a mental hospital for depression but he never know why she had it.

"Your father got angry as he saw his sister unable to cope up with her best friend's death. He searched for the boy. We found his address and searched it with help of police. It was where I saw the diary. I never thought of finding it again just next to your aunt's room in that hospital"

Arjun was wordless by the time he finished his explanation. So the killer had been next to his aunt's room? Did he burn the building to escape his capture? That might explain why nobody was able to find the person. It suddenly reminded him of another person.

"I still haven't heard of jagadish losing his job or kept in the jail"

"We don't have the evidence arjun but if we can catch him stalking my daughter we can get him arrested"

"He is stalking Samyuktha! " is that the reason why jagadish hates him? That idiot has already blackmailed gopal to break the marriage. So he is in love with Samyuktha?

" We think he is. I heard about someone stalking her since eight months. I tried to find him but never got him. If he is jagadish than it explains how he can escape from us" yes it explains why he can escape because he is a police officer. He needs to be put in jail lifelong......thought arjun.

Arjun waited for Samyuktha to come out of her room. Gopal tried to take him to the office but luckily rupa stopped gopal saying he just scared the kid. Arjun hated the word kid but said nothing as he wanted to escape gopal. He almost left arjun......Arjun wanted to yell in happiness only to know later that his father in law is not going to office today. Arjun felt like his balloon got bursted.
