43. Search for samyuktha

Alex ran till his legs gave out. It was like samyuktha disappeared in thin air. There is no sign of her. It wasn't night but bright morning but he lost her in an hour. He never thought of running after a girl but samyuktha is possessed and even lack of food did not make her weak by 0.1%.

His headconstable came in jeep. They both tried to search for another hour before they gave up the search. They came back to samyuktha's home to tell them they lost her completely. There's no point in searching a possessed girl who seems to be good at killing others.

"Is there anyone with name moksha?" Suresh asked rupa and gopal. They both shook their heads horizontally as they never heard of that name.

"The ghost is lying" jyothi told her husband. He looked lost after hearing his wife.

"Where can a ghost go?" Alex asked closing his eyes and thinking deeply.

"It depends on the ghost. She can go to a secluded place or go to her home" the head constable sunder told him.

"I never believed in ghosts and now I am searching for one" alex chuckled. He took out the phone and called other nearby stations and gave details about samyuktha. They were asked to locate her and send to his station. Though he did not have hopes on it, still he followed his mind which told him he might find her though at risk of few police men.

Rupa called samyuktha's friends who unfortunately were in Delhi. She called samyuktha's classmates with whom samyuktha was close. None happened to know about moksha or satya. She sobbed loudly unable to control her feelings anymore. All tried to comfort her saying samyuktha will be found soon. After making her sleep, gopal decided to search all secluded areas in the outskirts.

"Why do you think samyuktha will be there?" Suresh asked him.

"Maybe samyuktha don't know about that places but the ghost might be familiar to that area" gopal said. He was determined to find his daughter no matter how tired and heartbroken he was. It is his mistake he lost his daughter.

"Even I will come with you. You might need help" alex offered his support. All the four men went out for search. Jyothi sat next to sleeping rupa who was made to sleep by mixing sedatives in water. It was wrong to do so but nobody dared to see her sob loudly.

It took her sometime to remember her son. Immediately she called him. After what felt like hours, sampath answered the call.

"Give the phone to arjun. It's important!" Jyothi said.

"What is it aunty?"

"Samyuktha has left the house!"

"What? " sampath screamed. Arjun took the phone and asked what happened.

"She got possessed arjun. We thought to separate them but she killed the baba and left!" Jyothi cried while she explained him.

"Samyuktha is possessed?" Arjun asked still unable to process the information.

"We got to know after you went to delhi. I thought of telling you but we thought we could solve the problem completely, not have another. We are not finding her Arjun. I want you back. Back to home safely" jyothi sobbed as she spoke. She got a feeling that the ghost is after her son now.

"Yes I will come back"

"I want you to come home today" jyothi told him.

"Sure I will ma. But please take care of yourself. You should be very careful" arjun said. Jyothi nodded her head and arjun disconnected the call. Jyothi stared at padma who brought water for her.

"I want everyone to be alive" jyothi told her.

"Only god can help us now" padma said with teary eyes. She was practically raised by rupa after her parents died and she lived in same house. So she was close to them and couldn't go away when they are in problems.

"OMG!" All screamed after arjun disconnected the call. They didn't have to be said particularly to leave the hotel and go to airport. Danush booked the tickets while others packed their bags to check out of the hotel.

Arjun could not believe what his mother said. He remembered Samyuktha and their sweet dates. He couldn't place the sadistic smile of vinamra to Samyuktha. There is no comparison between them. There is nothing to relate them. So it became hard for arjun to imagine the possessed samyuktha.

They went to airport in hurry and somehow catched the flight which they almost missed because of short time. Luckily they got in aeroplane and reached hyderabad at evening. All of them rushed to samyuktha's home knowing that jyothi is still at samyuktha's home.

Arjun hugged his mother who cried badly. He comforted her saying he will find samyuktha.

"But she has killed baba! She stabbed him at neck and heart arjun! She's very dangerous!" Jyothi said shaking her head wildly.

"But she's my wife ma. Maybe I haven't married her officially but she's my wife and I'm her husband. I can't leave my wife alone. I will find her and bring home"

"She will hurt you!"

"She will never kill me ma. I know how to stop the ghost"

"How?"

"I know her weakness" arjun said giving her hope. She allowed him to go though she feared for his life. His friends promised her to keep him safe. Even the girls promised to take care of him. So jyothi gave them permission and they left with mohit and jyothsna driving their cars which they brought after coming to the city.

"We still don't know where she has gone! How can we find her in this big city? We don't even know where nandana used to live!" Smrithi exclaimed. Dhrithi and jyothsna agreed with her.

Arjun searched at other places where his father did not visit yet. It angered him but also scared him since it is getting dark and nobody has any clue where samyuktha can be. He thought rubbing his temples but that did not help him.

As they drove into the lonely road suddenly the car turned sideways bringing arjun back to the reality.

"What happened?" Arjun yelled.

"Ghost!" All his three friends yelled. Even girls yelled behind their car which made him come out of the car. He looked at the road and saw nandana standing on the road. He went near her. His friends called him but he ignored them.

"Save her arjun. Save samyuktha. She's in Ahlaada mental hospital" nandana informed him. When arjun turned back, nandana caught his hand surprising him.

"Take care of yourselves. I can't stop her army" nandana said and vanished in the air.

"I have never thought ghosts are this helpful. Why can't all be same and leave us" danush said and was still in shock of seeing nandana in black top and orange long skirt.

Then arjun got a call and accepted the call.

"I saw pooja in the house arjun! She said samyuktha is in ahlaada mental hospital" jyothi informed him. He is now confirmed that samyuktha is in the hospital and his dead sister is helping him. Determined to get his fiance, he moved towards the car.

"Let's go!" Arjun said and sat in the driver's seat. Mohit, sampath and danush got in the car. Arjun started the engine and heard jyothsna igniting the engine of their car. He felt encouraging and left to get on the highway. In half an hour he spotted a police car joining him. He don't know who was helping him but he got confident that he will end the problem this day.

'Whatever happens I will have my revenge vinamra. You can't win every time' arjun thought.
