25. possession

It became hard for the paramedics to seperate arjun from his dead sister. Sampath, mohit, and others struggled hard to free him from his sister. They knew he is very much attached to his sister but they never thought he would be this much devastated losing his sister.

The first day had been too hard to control him. He denied that she died even though he knew that she went too far away from him. After the doctor confirmed that she died 12hrs back he couldn't argue anymore. Jyothi had been with her son the whole time to support him. Suresh did not cry like his son or his wife but he was shocked to see the girl die. He never thought of her as his daughter but she was too close to arjun and it made him question if his son is safe afterall?

"It is my fault suresh. I shouldn't have involved your family " gopal apologised his best friend.

"We all wanted them to marry gopal. Don't apologise for something you have done nothing" Suresh said.

"Pooja doesn't deserve to die suresh and I was stupid not to realise that" gopal told him. He was too worried of his daughter he never thought how much the issue can affect others. Pooja's father ramu got heart attack seeing his daughter's limp body. Pooja's mother kavitha is in too much shock that she is not responding to anyone.

Now on the second day, preparations were going on for taking the body to the cemetery. Arjun sat next to his sister, not crying this time or atleast opened his mouth. He made others worry about him more. But he wasn't in a condition to understand how much he is torturing his family and his friends. Keerthi sat next to arjun crying.

" How can she leave us?" She asked him. He said nothing but placed his arm over her shoulders to comfort her while he silently cried. He swore to pooja that he will kill the person who did this to her. Even if it is the ghost she is going to see his wrath....

Sampath, mohit, and danush went to Samyuktha's home. The house is empty with nobody except Samyuktha and a maid for her company. All the others were in Arjun's home so they were not surprised to see the vacant house.

"She is not well to see anyone" the maid informed them.

"It's important to speak with her" Mohit told her. Sighing the maid took them to Samyuktha's room. She is still in her wedding saree and looked as if she wasn't in this world anymore. The maid shook her five times before Samyuktha moved.

Samyuktha wasn't in a mood to hear her maid but the presence of others made her sit on the bed. They got shocked looking at her but pushed their questions about her aside. They have come for more important matter.

"Did you know where pooja was till yesterday? " Sampath asked her. It only made her cry. The boys glanced at each other. Danush sat next to her to get the answer.

" Please.. it will help us know who killed her" danush told her.

"I don't know. She told me she will be with me on my wedding day... " Samyuktha stated. The boys felt their quest is a failure.

"She told me I will be free of her....." Samyuktha spoke to herself. Understanding that she need time to get out of her shock, they came out. The maid followed them to know what they know about Pooja's murder.

Samyuktha sat on the bed questioning herself why pooja is killed. She did not understand why pooja was targeted when it was her who is the target. It increased her headache and made her more restless.

The maid entered her room. Samyuktha is in too much irritation that she yelled at her for bringing the food. The maid shivered as the voice did not sound as her's. She walked out of the room with tray untouched.
