38. stalking (part 2)

"I know the woman is crazy! She should be kept in a mental hospital and given proper treatment" danush said a bit loudly. The people stared at him who apologised for disturbing them.

"We all know that! You don't have to say it loudly" sampath scolded his friend. Danush pouted but smiled as disha comforted him. Jyothsna rolled her eyes and stared at the people who went back to their own business. As she scanned the couples while huffing a lot as she heard disha, jyothsna eyes stopped as she found a person odd among the crowd.

She kept her eyes on him and listened to arjun who continued the story with new interest as a boy started to stalk nandana and her best friend. Vinnu even received a letter saying she looks cute in pink saree shocking her and her brother. Though nandana didn't get such a letter, it scared her a lot.

As jyothsna listened to this, the man moved showing his black shirt to her. She started to doubt him. Soon her doubts increased when the man stood up covering his face and walked away.

"Where is he going? " jyothsna said out which stopped arjun. She stood up and went after the man. Others too followed up not knowing why jyothsna is after a man. Soon they too got doubt as the man started running. He ran out which made tuem to run after him.

Jyothsna stopped after running for fifteen minutes. Smrithi too stopped for her friend. Danush was in lead who ran fast to get the man but the traffic made it hard to catch him. Disha stopped in ten minutes and came back to her friends. They all went back to the hotel and relaxed in the sofa placed for customers.

Danush lost the guy easily in the crowd. He cursed for not able to catch the man. He turned back and saw sampath panting. Both sadly walked back but then saw mohit helping arjun who was on his knees taking deep breaths.

"I've told you to eat arjun!" Sampath scolded his best friend.

"I am not hungry" he said while he stood up.

"At least eat something for future. We can't say if we have to run again" sampath tried to reason his friend.

"For the man or for the ghost?" Danush asked him.

"No. Next time we will run for our lives. Not fot catching the ghost. Only to save ourselves from being caught by the ghost" mohit said loudly. He only wanted to counter his friend's silly doubt but ended in being stared by the crowd. He felt embarrassing. It was the only word he spoke in the long time and that had embarrassed him in front of a big crowd. Then he realised the crowd doesn't know his language and relaxed. For whatever reason they stared at him, he did not care anymore.

All the four friends walked back to the hotel and slumped into the sofas. Disha gave water bottle to danush who completed half of it within seconds.

"Oh my god! I was never this tired before in my life" danush stated. Smrithi gave water bottles to the three friends who too gulped the water in dehydration. Jyothsna then joined the group who only seemed to be in different world though she is sitting with them.

"What did they say?" Disha asked her.

"They must have said he is a ghost. Isn't it fatty?" Danush mocked her. Smrithi too asked the same question disha asked before.

"He told them that he is a police officer and came for undercop work. But I'm sure it is rishi" jyothsna said. Disha and Smrithi gasped which felt odd for the boys.

"Who is rishi?" Danush asked her.

"Rohan's brother" disha told him.

"So?" Danush asked looking deep into disha's eyes. She blushed for his deep stare.
