52. the search (part 7)

Arjun reached the spot where he meets alex. He had a file in his hand. Arjun came out of his car looking at the file.

"Want to talk with prithvi?" Alex asked him. Arjun nodded eagerly. Alex ordered his constable to take away the car. Alex got in arjun's car and he drove to the address alex gave him.

"He's a retired librarian. I didn't get much information but he has flied a case saying vinamra killed his fiance and burned the building. But the police got her dead body in the hospital. There was nothing to actually prove that she killed nandana. Still prithvi tried to prove it. He said he had witnessed vinamra killing nandana" alex said.

"But he came out safely?" Arjun asked him.

"He said he saw it but he was in his house. There were no evidence that he actually went to the hospital. His name was not in the register"

"Funny, nandana wrote in her diary that prithvi has come to get her out of the hospital. I felt like she was all normal but was held there only to separate them"

"The newspaper said a stranger came for vinamra not nandana. I just have this feeling that prithvi lost his mind and tried to kill all the patients. Vinamra must have thought nandana is escaping and killed her. In fury prithvi killed her too" alex said.

"We should find out then. He should not be told that he would get arrested. Then he would never open his mouth. How the bloody hell he became a librarian? If he's a murderer!" Arjun exclaimed.

Both thought how to corner him and get the information. They have to fit gopal in it. Even he is also a suspect but he did not meet vinamra since nine months. Coincidently samyuktha's birthday is just near to vinamra's death date.

'How did she land up in the hospital?'

They thought about gopal being the stranger. But the motive seems to not exist. He was having extramarital affair but he wouldn't burn the whole building just to cover it up. There was no one saying that gopal was accused. But he is still a suspect. They had this odd feeling deep in their hearts that gopal is the mastermind.

After an hour of drive, they reached a colony. On asking three persons, finally arjun found the house. He stopped at the house and saw the simple but a well kept house. The garden was bigger than the house. The only house in the colony which had greenery.

Alex and Arjun got out of the car and walked to the house. Alex knocked first as he has the badge. An old man opened the door and Arjun got happy.

"We are from kukatpally police station. I have come here to discuss about a case" alex said. Prithvi looked puzzled but allowed them inside the house.

"I don't have relatives in kukatpally" prithvi said sitting in the wooden sofa. The house is filled with handloom crafts.

Alex and arjun sat next to him. Alex placed a photo in front of prithvi. It was samyuktha's.

"Do you know her?"

"No"

"We were dealing about this case. She was tried to kill few months back. We were trying to find the person. Then we found out this woman wants to kill her" alex placed vinamra's photo in front of prithvi. He got angry seeing the picture.

"I guess you know her"

"She was dead few years back" prithvi said.

"Oh yeah. We found out that. So we are searching for her killer. Surprisingly we found out she tried to kill this woman in same manner " alex kept nandana's picture. He got emotional seeing her photo.

"What do you know about her death?" Alex asked her.

"She was my wife. My heart" prithvi said. Arjun looked at him in puzzle.
