Negan didnt show for his weekly collection of Alexandria's stuff, instead he sent Dwight, Ethan and another one of his gargoyles. Tina was relieved to say the least as she was unsure how awkward things would be had she seen him.

As she lugged the boxes in the back of their truck she could see Dwight lingering ever closer "Negan wants to see you again" he spoke slyly looking around as he did to look casual, Tina ignored him and carried on "did you not hear me blondie?" He snapped quietly getting her attention "well it aint happening" she responded making sure no one else was in earshot. "Suit yourself" Dwight grunted as he tossed a screwed up piece of paper by her feet, she quickly picked it up and shoved it down her  bra. "Good girl" he muttered before walking away.

Tina felt Dwight's eyes on her as she walked to her house, he was watching to see if she told anyone about the note, which she wasnt going to she was merely going to through it in the trash and leave it unread.

When she walked inside Rick was round with Daryl who was jiggling Poppy in his arms "still working on this plan?" She asked kissing her daughter and kissing Daryl. "Its pretty simple, just got to play it out for a while longer, make sure Negan and his men are completely unaware.  Tina looked for him to continue "when they go to the Hilltop to get their stuff one week, we will be there, hiding, we take Negan out his men will falter." He replied. Tina was impressed it sounded like it could actually work "wow" she whispered in admiration "Jesus and his guys are in, we just give them the nod, gotta make some more ammo with Eugene and hide it so they think we are all unarmed" Daryl interjected passing Poppy over to her "hang on, i need to freshen up" she stopped him and jogged upstairs, remembering she had the note. Holding it tight in her hand she aimed to toss it down the toilet but curiosity got the better of her.

Tell me you dont want me and I'll leave you be

Tina pulled a face, that was easy. Walking out the house pretending she had forgot something at the garage she paced down to Dwight who was lighting up leaning on the truck "tell him I dont" she spoke firmly "you dont what?" He teased smirking. Tina looked around to make sure she wouldnt be heard "I dont want him. i dont need him" she retorted shooting a smug smile his way and turned on her heels and walked back home feeling proud of herself.

Two weeks had passed and tonight was the night most of the residents including Rick, Daryl, Glenn, Maggie, Michonne, Morgan, Carol and Aaron were heading to the hilltop to finalise plans with Jesus and attend a small gathering they were holding. Tina stayed back with Judith and Poppy and Daryl promised he would be back after the meeting as he didnt want to socialise with "those bores" he called them from The Hilltop. "Ill wait up" she replied with a wink as she kissed him goodbye and closed the door behind him.

Alexandria was extra quiet tonight but it wouldnt be a problem, The Hilltop was a fair way away but on a night like this nothing should happen. Tina was just glad to have an excuse to not attend, she wished Daryl could of stayed too. She looked out the window over to Rick's to see Carl's room had the light on, Rick insisted he go to Tina's as well as Judith but he protested saying he was old enough to be alone and Tina convinced Rick he was and promised to check in on him every hour or so.

Poppy wriggled on a mat on the floor while Judith banged her blocks on the coffee table, the more she looked at her the more she reminded her of Shane, eventhough Rick was her father she couldnt help wonder, and then Tina thought back to him and how everything was so heated and tense between her and Daryl when they lived on the farm. It felt like a world away.

When the time came to put the two girls to bed she made sure to look over to Ricks and she could see Carl reading comics with another boy from the town. Placing Judith in the spare bedroom and Poppy in a her crib Tina came downstairs to wait for Daryl's return, she decided to flick through the plan they had devised, in one of the papers corners she found the words 'he wont suspect Tina' scribbled across it, it was Daryl's writing. It made her feel weird, she wasnt sure how she felt about being a ploy in at all.
