Who's the Dad?

"Wait so you're telling me that Evie probably isn't Eldon's?" I ask looking for clarification, he nods his head "Does Michelle know that John thinks she might be his?" I ask trying to figure out where everybody stands, he shrugs his shoulders "nobody knows." he says simply, I know I need to get to the bottom of this so I pull my phone out of back pocket and ring Michelle, James' face tells me that I shouldn't do the this, but I know it's for the better "Hi Ri, how are you?" she asks down the phone, I sigh knowing this will be an awkward conversation "I'm fine but I need to ask you something, do you remember sleeping with john?" I ask matter of flatly, I hear her chocking on something, she was probably drinking water or something like that "Urmmm, yeah I guess." she says quietly, I know she's embarrassed and confuse but I just carry on "And did you ever think that maybe Eldon isn't Evie's Dad?" I ask, I don't know what reply I'm going to get back, but I'm nervous "Ermmm, yeah, he his the Dad, Eldon isn't Evie's Dad." she says, I'm not sure how she knows so I try and get more information out of her "How do you know that he's definitely the Dad?" I ask her quickly because I really want to know the answer "I know because Evie looks nothing like Eldon but a lot like John, but Eldon will never realise unless I tell him, and I don't have the courage to tell him." she says sheepishly, I know exactly what to do "John!" I shout down the stairs calling him up here to talk to Michelle, I hear footsteps and then John walks in, I hand him my phone and he looks at who I'm asking him to call, he realises and just shakes his head but I keep on pressing the phone on him until he sighs and takes it off me, James and I leave the room and leave John and Michelle to work it out. We both head downstairs to find all the boys showing Theo their selection of toy cars, Theo looks genuinely interested, I consider going and playing but instead I plonk myself next to Luke and turn to face him "does Theo have the mental age of a two year old?" I ask him jokingly but Luke looks at me seriously and nods his head "probably." he says, I laugh before feeling little hands pulling my leg, I look down to find Poppy trying to get my attention, I pull her up onto my knee and start playing with her.

After about ten minutes I hear John walking back downstairs, he walks in and hand me my phone, then James raises his eyebrows, clearly asking him how it went. He takes a deep breath in and begins "Basically I'm Evie's Dad but I didn't know until like ten minutes ago and now Eldon knows because he heard Michelle talking to me about it and now Eldon has fallen out with Michelle and leaving her, she's asked me to move in and be a proper Dad to Evie and we're going to be one big happy family." he says almost cheerily, I'm shocked, this is the end of Micheldon but I am kind of glad that Michelle and John are together because they seem to be a better fit, Eldon was slightly too unaware and I know it annoyed Michelle so hopefully her and John will get on better, I'm also really glad that Evie's going to grow up with her real father and mother. Then Luke looks up and says "wait, what you slept with Michelle, got her pregnant and now you're moving in?" he asks clearly shocked at how quick this has all happened, he nods with a huge smile across his face, then Theo turns his attention away from Oscar and one of the red cars and looks up at John "How do you get somebody to have a baby?" he asks innocently, we all burst out laughing, I mean who doesn't know that, he looks at all of us confused "What!?" he asks confused as to why we're all laughing but we stop and I decide to reply "Ask your Mom." I say, by this point James, John and Luke are all wetting themselves but Theo still looks 100% serious "Okay." he says before going back to play with the cars. Wow, just wow.
