All the kids and James left after a couple of hours, leaving me alone in the silence of my room. I had only been alone for ten minutes before my door was knocked on

"come in." I said loudly, a female doctor walked in and came over to my bed

"I'm Rachel, I'll be your physiotherapist for both your arm and back. Do you have any questions?" she said, I shook my head and she nodded hers. She began to prod and poke my arm, it was weird but kind of comforting, finally someone that didn't walk o n egg shells around me.

"What are you doing?" I asked curiously

"Checking how strong your shoulder id because as soon as that reaches a certain strength your arm will be strong enough to start therapy on it but because it's in a cast I can't check the actual arm." she explained, I nodded and then let her carry on. Before long she moved onto my neck, I knew that id it was strong enough she would let me take the brace off and right now I couldn't imagine anything better than having it off.

"You're neck is ready to loose the brace but when it does come off don't move it too much or the brace will have to go back on." she said, I smiled a huge smile and ley her remove it. I felt free, I had had that on for over a week, well of what I wasn't in a coma for, and it was driving me slowly into insanity. Once it was fully off she carried on poking me and making me gently move my neck in certain ways.

"Alright, I'm finished. I'll see you three times a day until you leave and then we'll set up a new rota. But right now if it was up to me I'd say you'd only have another five or so days here." she said, I grinned at her as she left the door. I couldn't wait to get out.

I lay there on my bed alone for hours until heard a knock at the door, I didn't bother replying, II was too tired. After a couple of seconds Rachel popped her head in, I smiled and she walked over to me .

"How've you been?" she asked, I just nodded still too tired to talk, she sighed and then got to work in silence, she only spoke when she had an instruction for me like move your head a bit left or wiggle my fingers. She'd been doing this for an hour until she came to a stop

"what's wrong with you?" she asked me, I just sighed before telling her

"It's so quite and lonely here, at home I have eight - no seven children all under the age of two and they know how to make a noise and I just feel lost without the constant noise." I told her, she nodded at my sympathetically before standing up, I can't believe it, I just tell her what's wrong thinking that she might help me and instead she's just walked out. I pulled the covers up and just lay there, how can somebody do that?

I t had been about ten minutes since Rachel had left me when I heard my door open, I peeked my head over the covers and saw Rachel and another one of my doctors who I'd forgotten the name of. They both walked over to me and sat on a chair either side of my bed. I sat up gently and looked at both of them, confused

"Riley, me and Dr Mosley," he begins signalling at Rachel "have been talking and decided that it's best for you if we let you go home tomorrow." he says, did I hear him right, can I really go home tomorrow? I smile at both of them and they return it, I can't believe my luck. I get to go home!!!!!
