"What is that?"

Ryan pointed at my mouth with a disgusted look on his face and I immediately covered my mouth.

"Nothing." I mumbled.

He dropped the controller on the couch beside him and scooted over to me. His hand moved up and grabbed mine, pulling it away so he could take a look.

His eyes widened as he stared at my new cold sore. "Holy shit! That thing's huge!"

I narrowed my eyes at him and flicked his nose. "Thanks for boosting my self esteem asshole."

He chuckled and leaned back and grabbed the controller. He unpaused GTA 5 and continued his mission. "Any time cupcake."

I felt myself blush at the nickname and I wanted to smack myself for being so girly, and by the way the corners of Ryan's mouth turned up in a smirk, I knew that he saw it. And it made it that much more embarrassing.

"When are you going to finish? I'm pretty sure that it's my-" I was cut off by a sharp knock on the door. My heart raced in my chest and I looked at Ryan. "Did you invite someone over?"

He shook his head and paused the game again, getting up and walking to the door. It felt like hours before he reached the door, thinking; who is it? It couldn't be her right? She couldn't have found me that fast.

When Ryan opened the door, I visible saw his body tense, making the muscles under his shirt stand out deliciously.

"Adam."

The tone of his voice, the disgust and lowness of it didn't take me by surprise, but the name that he said it with did.

I quickly got up and walked over to the door and look over Ryan's shoulder, and became confused.

His eyes were bloodshot, red along with his nose, and he had this look, this heartbroken, painful, look that made my heart go out to him.

More tears ran down his face, and his eyes locked with mine, "G-genesis broke...he took a deep breath, and more tears feel like a waterfall. "Gen broke up with me."

My eyes met Ryan's, and his expression matched mine and I could tell that we were thinking the same thing; we didn't believe him.

"She broke up with you?" He questioned with scrunched eyebrows.

He nodded and stuffed his hands his pockets. Ryan looked over at me and mouthed, 'Should we let him in?'

My eyes looked over at Adam again, and my heart went out to him. "Come on in." I sighed.

Adam looked up at me in shock, "Really?"

"Hurry up before I change my mind and castrate you."

His eyes widened and he ran into the apartment and sat on the couch in the blink of an eye.

Ryan shut the door and we both sighed while walking to the couch. I sat on the opposite end and Ryan on the other, leaving Adam in between us.

"So what happened?"

Adam sighed and leaned against the back of the couch, "Genesis figured out the password on my phone and she decided to see if you were telling the truth while I went to grab something."
