Skylar
As the morning light streamed through the thin curtains and hit my face, I groaned. Why the fuck did I drink last night? My head is killing me
I cuddled closer to my warm, comfortable, pillow and sighed, my head hurt like hell, but I'm way to comfortable to get up and get aspirin.
It wasn't until I felt my pillow breath that I snapped my eyes open and saw Ryan Gray laying next to me and playing the role of pillow.
How is he so comfortable? He's like, all muscle...Skylar. We have a big problem here. Focus!
He was lying on his back, his arm thrown over my waist and the other intertwined with mine. I pulled away too fast to notice how perfectly our hands fit together, pulling Ryan out of sleep.
I quickly jumped out of bed as Ryan sat up and rubbed his eyes, "Skylar, what are you doing? Come back to bed."He grumbled in a sexy morning voice.
I shook my head, "What the hell are you doing in my bed?"
He stopped rubbing at his eyes and looked up at me, "You don't remember?"
I crossed my arms over my chest and raised my eyebrows in confusion, "Remember what?"
He stood up from the bed and walked to me. On the way, I checked out his shirtless chest and was relieved to see that he was still wearing his pants from last night.
His hands held my shoulders as he bent down to look me in the eye, "What's the last thing you remember?"
I looked at him in confusion, but thought back nonetheless, "Umm, going back to the bar to get you your beer that I drank."
His hands dropped from my shoulders and a look of pure hurt passed over his face, making my heart clench painfully, "Why, what happened?"
He sat down on my bed and rested his head in his hands, "Ryan, what happened?"
I was overcome by fear. Did I do something embarrassing like spill a drink all over myself, or confront Genesis? Or do something extremely embarrassing like admit my undying love to Ryan? Which is completely untrue by the way.
He looked up at me and ran a hand through his hair. "We kissed."
"We what?"
Please, let him be joking!
He sighed and nodded, "Yeah, last night after the wedding."
Ryan and I kissed.
My breathing increased as that sentence played over and over again in my head like a broken record. I shook my head, no. That couldn't have happened. Even if I was shit-faced drunk, I would never kiss him.
"I don't believe you." I said stubbornly. I hate to fight back the urge to cross my arms over my chest and stick my nose up at him.
He smirked, "Oh, you just say that because you don't want to admit that you can't resist me. You might be able to fight off your feelings while you're sober, but when you're wasted, you have to give in. You can't hide your feelings forever."
No matter how much I hated the fact, he was right.
I didn't want to like him, I didn't want to want him, but some things you just can't control. But that's all it is; an attraction. A physical attraction. Nothing more.
