After everyone had finished our late breakfast and the gang settled on the couch, I grabbed the dishes and brought them into the kitchen. When I went back out to grab the little bit of left over food, I felt Ryan's stare.
I had to bite my lip to fight off a smile and I mentally smacked myself. I'm turning into one of those pathetic girlfriends! One who gets all giddy and excited and stupid when their boyfriends around.
But what's so wrong with that?
When I brought the remainder of the food and plates into the kitchen, I could practically feel Ryan's presence walking toward me.His arms wrapped around my waist and I sighed, leaning back into his hold and instantly relaxing.
His breath fanned over my skin as he nuzzled his nose in the crook of my neck, placing a gentle kiss there. My breath caught ever so slightly and I felt Ryan smile. I turned around in his hold and smiled at him. He smiled back and leaned in, placing a small kiss on my lips.
I bit my lip but kept my eyes closed, trying to fight off the huge smile that wanted to take over my face. I failed and I opened my eyes when I felt Ryan grab my hands, running his fingers over the burned skin.
I blushed and was about to pull my hands away when Ryan looked down at me with a serious look, a small smile on his lips, "I love you."
My smile widened and my eyes met his, "I love you too."
He smiled back and dropped his hands to my hips, pulling me against his chest and kissing me tenderly. My arms wrapped around his neck and I felt his tongue trace around my lips teasingly. I smiled and tightened my hold around his neck as the kiss deepened.
I let out out a moan and Ryan's grip on my thigh's tightened. Before I knew what was happening, he picked me up and set me on the counter behind me. I was beyond surprised that he did that. I mean, I wasn't exactly as light as a feather and he seemed to not even break a sweat...
My hands dropped to the hem of his shirt and gently ran under it, digging my nails into his skin. He groaned lowly and ran his hands under my shirt, pulling me tighter to his chest. I smiled and when Ryan pulled away a minute later, I let out an embarrassing whimper.
"Dammit." He groaned, glancing from my lips to my eyes.
I was about to ask what was wrong but then I felt it. His excited little...friend.
I immediatly blushed bright red and Ryan burried his face in the crook of my neck again. Why was he so embarrassed? That was a serious compliment. I was thankful to know that he was just as affected by this as I was. At least I know that I turn someone on.
We shared a moment of silence before I leaned my head against his and ran a hand through his hair, "So I was thinking about what you said...about meeting my family."
"And..." he mumbled, his voice slightly muffled by my shoulder.
I sighed and played with a piece of his hair, "I was thinking about maybe going out there to see them next weekend."
When Madelyn was finally released from the hospital because her major concussion, I said goodbye to my mom over the phone and she said that if at anytime I needed anything, to call her. She had even called a few times since she had left. She was being pretty involved...or as involved as you could be from 3,000 miles away.
