Skylar

We're late.

That's all that I could think about as Ryan and I counted all the bags and got our shoes on, "If we're late, I swear to god, Ryan." My eyes narrowed at the messy-haired boy walking beside me out the door.

Ryan merely chuckled and after we threw out luggage into the trunk and hopped in the car, pulling out of the apartment complex's parking lot and onto the road, his hand rested on my thigh, "I'm sorry that we didn't sleep much last night." he winked and my eyes narrowed once again as his hand started inching its way up my thigh.

Ryan wasn't exactly lying, we got barely any sleep last night and neither of us wanted to get up this morning when my alarm went off. Ryan, being the dick he is, turned off the alarm instead of hitting the snooze button, causing us to have to get up and get out the door in five minutes.

The flight left in an hour.

"Fuck you."

He chuckled and turned his attention back to the road, "You already did."

We got to the airport and through security in record time. When we finished our marathon of sprinting and finally arrived at the terminal, they had five minutes left to board. Still panting from our run, Ryan and I handed our tickets the the woman and she handed them back after scanning them with a blank face and a monotone voice as she muttered her mandatory; "Have a nice flight."

Walking this time, we stepped over the threshold and onto the plane. I let out a sigh of relief as we sat down in our seats, immediately afterwards the flight-attendant coming out and showing us the mandatory safety procedures.

Ryan smiled over at me and grabbed my hand in his, intertwining our fingers together, "Told you we'd make it."

I tried to stay mad at him, but when he brought my hand up to his face and placed a gentle kiss on the back, I gave in and cracked a smile, rolling my eyes, "You may have terrible timing, but you do have good luck."

After he kissed the back of my hand again and rested our conjoined hands on the arm rest between us, I could practically hear the smile in his voice when he said, "I most certainly do." And I smiled.

We landed in New Hampshire five and a half hours later, Ryan practically carrying me off the plane. I had fallen asleep on the plane ride and was too lazy to walk on my own.

"Come on Cupcake, you have to show me around." I groaned and walked through the threshold and onto the safety of solid ground. "Well, then follow me."

Ryan followed me through the pact airport to the bag return and as we neared it, I saw our two suite cases spinning slowly. After grabbing them, we veered around the various people and onto the front sidewalk.

"You know where you're going right?" Ryan questioned as I walked along the sidewalk to the rent-a-car beside the airport.

I rolled my eyes, "Yes Ryan, I know where I'm going."

He put up his hands in defense, "Hey, I was just making sure."

We rented a standard, small car and threw our bags in the trunk. When I got into the driver's seat, Ryan narrowed his eyes at me, "You sure that you don't want me to drive?"
