~Annie's POV~
I was crying. Why did he rejected me twice? Why did he kiss me if it was a mistake. Us a mistake? We're soul mates not a mistake! Arg...
I heard a noise from somewhere in my room. I sat up straight, preparing to die, not that I'd complain. It hurt too much.
Another noise, the same noise. The Window! Someones trying to break in. Oh no what do I do!
The noise came again, it sounded like a knock.
I ran to the window and pushed it open, looking down I noticed a black figure.
“I thought you'd never come.”Jesse's familiar voice whispered.
“What are you doing?” I asked, even with getting rejected I couldn't help the smile that spread on my face.
“Get your cute ass down here!” He whisper yelled.
“Jesse!” I stifled a laugh, “I was shot today. There is no way in hell...” I began.
“Oh, come on.” He cut me off, “It's still your birthday, I have a surprise.”
I sighed looking around my dark room anything to make me not go.
“I'll catch you...” he told me. I looked back at him and smiled.
“Or I could use the door?”
“That's no fun.”
“Fine.” I said one leg out the window, “But you better catch me.” I warned him.
He smiled and the little light caught a glint in his eye. I fell through the air, my hair whirling past me. Warm arms caught me. I let out the breath I was holding.
“I would never drop you,” he said as he steadied me.
“I believe you.”
“Come on,” he tugged on my hand, “Wait. Are you allowed to shift?”
I shrugged. “I don't know.”
There was silence as he thought.
“Do you feel fine?”
“I feel...normal.” I shrugged again.
“Good. Alright lets shift.” he said clapping his hands together.
I laughed and went behind a tree shifting quickly because I didn't trust him to not look.
I felt my bones transform as I fell onto the ground on all fours. My light brown fur ruffled in the breeze. I walked out from behind the tree and saw the familiar gray wolf that was Jesse. He pounced on me and I fell on to my back.
I growled and he growled back but his was playful and mine was out of annoyance.
'Keep up if you can...' he told me and pushed off me before disappearing in the trees.
'Hey, no fair, I don't know where were going.' I said trying to catch up to him.
He laughed, 'sucks!'
'I hate you, you know that right?'
'I love you too.'
'Shut up...' I growled and he laughed. I suddenly ran into him. 'Are we here?'
He laughed again, 'Yeah there's clothes behind the tree for you.'
'You thought of everything,'
'Yeah, if I was smart I wouldn't....'
