Shadow~Chapter 1

(2 years after prologue. Y/n was at Tenrou with everyone, because she's an S-class)

**3rd Person**

Lucy stood off to the side next to happy while the guild was doing its usual thing. Fighting and throwing things.

She heard the guild doors open, making her look that way. In the doorway was a hooded figure.

Suddenly a table came flying towards the figure. Lucy was about to yell to the figure to watch out when the figure somehow flew or jumped over the table making it topple out the guild. Some of the fighting guild members heard the guild doors slam shut and became quiet.

Everyone watched the figure walk forward, then stopped. The hooded figure looked around before jumping over everyone and landing in front of the s-class missions board.

The figure pulled a mission down without even sparing so much as a glance at the other missions. The figure turned and started to walk out of the guild.

Lucy just watched them with wide eyes surprised at how long the guild could be quiet. Then Gajeel came up behind they've figure sniffed them. Well tried to, at least.

"Hey, uh Gajeel. I wouldn't do that if I-" Natsu was cut off my Gajeel being electrocuted by blue electric bolts instead of Laxus's yellow bolts. "-were you." Natsu finished as Gajeel fell back. The figure walked out calmly.

Lucy turned to Natsu. "Who was that?" She asked. "That's shadow. Or at least that's what we call them." Natsu answers. "Why not by their name?" Lucy asks. Gray comes up behind them.

"Because no one knows their real name." Gray answers. "Well Master Makarov, Mira, the Thunder Legion and Erza do. But no one else." Happy explains. "None of us know anything about shadow except them." Happy continued.

"How come I've never seen them around here?" Lucy asked. "They are rarely here. They use up most of their time on missions. We never know why. But shadow has been apart of this guild for two years. Well, two years before the Tenrou thing." Gray answered. "And their already an s-class wizard?!" Lucy pondered aloud

"Wait! Did they just get an s-class mission? Yes!" Natsu yelled as he ran after the figure. Lucy, Wendy, Carla and Happy followed him, very confused at what he meant. Gray, wanting to get Natsu to come back, also ran off.
Soon Lucy caught up to Natsu. But, that's just because Natsu caught up to the figure. Natsu was walking behind the figure. "Why are you following me?" The figure growled as they stopped suddenly and turned. "Didn't you hear? We can go on s-class missions as long as an s-class wizard comes with us. And you are an s-class wizard." Natsu explained as Gray caught up to them. "No." They growled and turned and started walking away. "Come on please!" Natsu pleaded. "No." Natsu kept begging. "Do you want me to electrocute you?" The figure threatened. "Not really." Natsu said then he continued to beg.
The figure turned suddenly making Natsu stop and Lucy bump into Natsu. "If I let you come, will you forever leave me alone?" The figure hissed. Natsu nodded and saluted. "Yes sir!" He yelled. "Don't call me that." The figure sighed as they turned. "Yes ma'am?" Natsu said thinking they were a girl because they disagreed with sir. "That either." They said. "Dang it!" Natsu yelled.
The figure then turned to Wendy and Carla and kneeled down before them. "I think you should return home." Was all they said. "Why? Don't think we're strong enough?" Carla asked sassily. "No. This just isn't something for someone wendy's age. This is too strong for her. Trust me, you're going to want to go back to the guild hall." Shadow replied. Wendy nodded and turned and returned back to the guild.
Lucy, Natsu, gray and happy followed the figure. "Erza." Shadow greeted. (Shadow is you by the way.) "shadow." Erza greeted as she came up behind them dragging a large wagon holding a bunch of their stuff. "Your coming?" Lucy asked.
Erza nodded. "Someone has to keep you guys from getting hurt." Erza said. "We'll be fine. And besides we have shadow here." Natsu said. "Exactly." Erza said while pointing at shadow.
**y/n's POV**
I started walking to the train station. They all followed me. "So what is the mission?" Natsu asked. I handed them the paper. "Come help! A couple villages have been attacked by a couple strong monsters. For 12 million jewels?!" Natsu yelled. I nodded. "And you expected to do this on your own?!" Lucy asked.
I nodded. Then I heard extra footsteps behind us. They were light and pretty far behind. "Juvia. Come out." I commanded. I heard her walk up to us.
"Oh, by the way, why was Gajeel smelling you?" Lucy asked. "Dragon slayers have a strong sense of smell. And Gajeel hasn't met Shadow. He smelled the dragon slayer on them." Natsu explained. "You're a dragon slayer?" Lucy asked and I nodded.
"Wait! HOW COME OVER THE WHOLE TIME I WAS AT THE GUILD YOU WERE NEVER THERE TO FIGHT ALONGSIDE US?!?!" Lucy yelled. I stopped and turned, making her stop. "I was busy with my own problems. And you guys did it on your own didn't you? Now, this was originally my mission, so I'm in charge. And right now you're annoying me. Now be quiet." I hissed and turned and continued walking.
For the rest of the time, they were mostly quiet. Sometimes asking some simple questions about the mission.
