~Y/n's POV~

B/n, Akina and I left the guild, and made our way back to my apartment. B/n had finally calmed down and I was back to wearing the clothes I was wearing before. A f/c shirt and blue jeans. I breathed a sigh of relief/exhaustion when I closed my apartment door behind me. "I am so glad that is over." I say as B/n agrees. Akina turns to us.

"I am still pretty confused." She says, making me chuckle. "Yeah, I just....this just had to do with last years Grand Magic Games. You to be there to understand." I sort of explained, to which she nodded. I sat down on my bed, trying to think of something to do. I looked up and watched as Akina looked around my apart, also trying to find something to do.

I turned to my twin brother, and started talking to him about Iris, which slightly made me cry. I kept picturing her in my mind. Her golden scales. I couldn't stop thinking of the day that she had left us.

~Flashback to July 6, X777~

I darted up, gasping for air as my little 7 year old body shook with fear. I looked around, realizing that the monster that had brought me such fear that night was just apart of a dream, or rather a nightmare. I looked over at my sleeping caretaker, a large golden dragon towering above me.

Iris opened one eye, realizing that I was awake, then straightened up

Iris opened one eye, realizing that I was awake, then straightened up. "Y/n dear, why are you awake?" She asked me, but I didn't answer. She sighs. "Another nightmare?" She asked, to which I nodded. She moved one of her feet, allowing me to crawl over and curl up next to her.

I smiled lightly at my guardian. "Thank you Iris." I said.

"What for?"

"For taking care of me and B/n," I glanced over at my younger twin, who continued to sleep. "For taking us in and teaching us to defend ourselves. I don't know where we would be without you. Thank you so much for taking us away from our family. They aren't who they used to be. Thank you. I-I love you." I said, grasping one the toes of one of her feet.

She stared down at me wide eyed, then slowly and gradually, a smile spred accross her features.

"I love you too sweetie." She said sort of sadly as she stared down at my now sleeping form, then slowly turned and went back to sleep.

~Time Skip to the next day~

I yawned as I slowly sat up. I looked around and saw that B/n was still asleep. I smile lightly until I realized that Iris was not in the cave. My eyebrows furrowed as I stood and looked around, In hopes of finding her, but she was nowhere in sight. I waddled over to my twin and shook him, trying to wake him up. He groaned and sat up.

"What do you want Y/n?" He grumbled.

"Iris isn't in the cave."

"She's probably out hunting to get us food."
