Chapter 34

"Wow..." I said in awe as the sender of the request guided the five of us down a cement path and towards a very expensive looking building. The guide laughed and nodded.

"What was your name again?" Gray asked, with an eyebrow raised.

"I go by the Black Canary." The blonde woman responded. We all nodded and continued into the building. "It's my alias, as we don't want our enemies knowing our real names and using our identities against us."

"Ahhhh..." We say in understanding but become quiet when we hear voices.

"All shipments of venom have been inexplicably cutoff. That's where this team comes in. This is a covert recon mission only! Observe and report. If the Justice League needs to intervene, it will. The plan requires two drop zones," We hear a very deep voice say.

"So who's in charge?" A younger voice asks.

"Work that out between you." The deeper voice replies. "But," They add, but the black canary interrupts.

"But... you guys may be doing this mission yourself without us, but we don't want to leave you completely on your own. We hired a few people to accompany you, only to make sure you don't get hurt or in trouble. They won't tell you what to do or control the mission, but are merely there to make sure nothing goes wrong. Meaning, you can't even ask them what to do." She explains, catching everyone's attention.

I see an older man wearing all black with a mask covering the top of his face, and a red robot standing next to him. My gaze then moves over to the teens. There is a dark skinned boy with short blonde hair, and a tall, buff looking teen in a black shirt that has a red S on it. Next to him is a green skinned girl with red hair, and a seemingly angst, black haired boy wearing sunglasses. The last teen was average height, pale, red hair, and freckles, and was eating a bag of chips. A couple of the teens looked annoyed at the idea of being supervised. Whatever, not my problem. Happy and E/n finally pad up behind us, flying into the air to be next to me and Natsu.

"What the?!" The snacking boy yelled when he saw the exceeds.

"Hi, I'm Y/n, and this is Natsu and Gray. We were hired to, well do as Black Canary had described. This can helpful to you guys, and also benefits us because we can make money, and we get to learn about different skills that people around here have."

"I'm Happy!" Happy exclaims, shocking everyone.

"And I'm E/n." E/n adds.

~Time Skip~

"Drop zone A in 30" Miss Martian tells us. Aqualad stands up and his seat disappears. Okay, can I just say, their names are freaking hilarious! They are so lame! Like, no thought or creativity went into them. Aqualad turns on a thingy that makes his suit turn all black, and he tells Miss Martian that he is ready. "Putting bio ship in camouflage mode." She responds. Aqualad jumps out of the ship and into the sea below us.

"Heat and motion sensors are patched. It is now on a continuous loop. Move in." Aqualad tells us over an intercom.

"Drop zone B." Miss Martian finally says and all the teens stand up in unison. Surprised, Natsu, Gray, and I all stumble to our feet. Miss Martian does some telekinetic thing that makes latches lower from the ceiling to act as a loop and rope for when we jump down.

"Happy, can you take Natsu down to the ground?" I ask the exceed.
"Aye!" He responds.

"And, E/n, can you carry Gray down?"

"I could if he actually had a shirt on." E/n responds. I spin around and give Gray a deadpan look.

"GOSH DANG IT!" Gray yelled, slightly scaring everyone else, who jumped. Just as everyone else started turning their suits to camouflage mode, I requip into a cape.

"Hey supey! Not too late to put on the new stealth tech." Kid Flash says to Superboy.

"No capes, no tights. No offense." Super boy responds as he crosses his arms over his chest.

"It totally works for you... in that you can totally do good work in those clothes." I raise an eyebrow at what Miss Martian had just said. I guess I have my first piece of advice, but I will tell her later.

Kid Flash, Robin and Miss Martian jump out of the jet, but quickly disperse when Super boy jumps out without a bungee line. "Knew I didn't need a line." Superboy smirks. Happy grabs Natsu, and E/n grabs Gray and they fly both boys to the ground. I jump down to the ground, being grateful for my agility.

"And yet, creating a seismic may not have helped us much with the covert." Robin retaliates.

"Robin is right. Before each action you make, you must think of what may happen in response. That is just a rule of thumb for any situation, but you must really take it into consideration for a mission." I tell them. Miss Martian smiles and nods her head, but everyone else seems annoyed that I even opened my mouth.

"Aqualad, drop B is go." Miss Martian says over the intercom.

"Head for the factory. I'll track your GPS and rendezvous ASAP." He responds. We then begin our trek. We walk around a cliff that is hidden by a waterfall, with Miss Martian, Happy, and E/n flying above us. As we continue walking through the forest, Superboy, Natsu and I stop walking as we hear the sound of a stick snapping.

"Did you hear that?" Superboy asked. Just as Kid Flash said 'no' Natsu and I said 'yes'.

"Wait, is this a super hearing thing?" Kid asks. Before anyone of us respond, Miss Martian speaks.

"You do have great ears..." Uh, yeah, I think I will have to talk to her about that.

"Okay Rob, now what?" Kid asks as he turns around, but Robin is nowhere in sight. "Man! I hate when he does that!" I guess I have another thing to comment on, on their mission.

"Superboy, Kid, switch to infrared to see if you're being tracked." Aqualad says. Both teens do so and look around the perimeter.

"Got a squat of armed bozos incoming." Kid says. He and Superboy run up to a tree.

"Two squats. But they'll meet each other before they find us." Superboy adds. Suddenly, we hear the sound of guns going off.

"Swing wide, steer clear." Aqualad tells us.

"Yeah, yeah, just as soon as I find Rob." Kid says before running off with incredible speed. Dumb Kid!!!! Kid slides down the slope and lands in between both squats who begin shooting at him.

"GRAY!" I yell, signalling for him to create an ice blockade in between Kid and the squats, allowing for Kid to get out of the clearing unscathed. Superboy runs out into the open and attacks a man. Kid continues to be shot at, but Robin attacks two of the shooters.

"What is wrong with you guys?! Remember covert?!" Robin yells.

"That's what you were doing? Thanks for filling us in!" Kid argues.

"God dammit!" I yell as I jump into the clearing. "Shadow dragon's slash!" I exclaim, causing my arm to be coated in shadows. I punch one enemy, and then another, easily knocking them out. As soon as they were all out, I instructed the group to tie the shooters to a tree.

"There were so many flaws in what just happened!" I exclaimed.

"Oh, why don't you tell us about it." Superboy said sarcastically. My eyes narrowed at him.

"Fine, don't listen to me. But when you continue to make mistake after mistake, and you are removed from this team permanently, or when you are killed, I won't help you. So, it's your choice to take my advice." I retaliate.

"Yeah. Now, you guys don't have to like each other, but you need to tolerate each other. Constantly fighting can throw off a whole mission. I'm not best buds with flame breath over there, but we still fight side by side and get our missions done. Learn to do the same." Gray tells them.

"Yes, and you guys need to communicate. Robin, you should have told them where you were going. Superboy, you should have told them what you heard. Kid, you should have given them more time to react before you ran off. None of this was okay." I told them and majority of them nodded.
