Balloons floated through the air as the crowd cheered and celebrated the Grand Magic games. Woo hooooooooooooooooo. You can really hear the excitement in my internal voice. I took a deep breath and leaned against a wall, waiting for the introduction of the teams to begin.
"You'll do great Y/n!" Mira chirped, misinterpreting my sigh. I glanced up at her.
"That's not what I'm worried about. I'm worried about the guild, mainly Wendy and the other team. They couldn't find Wendy last night, and I'm worried Team A didn't make it." I reply, placing my hands behind my head.
"I'm sure they did fine." She responds, eyes closed as she gave me a huge smile. She is way too chirpy. It's unsettling.
"Now, the time has come to meet our competitors!" We heard the announcer say into the microphone, signalling for the teams to be ready to enter. "First, in eighth place, an old school bunch of wild wizards from Magnolia! They had luck preliminaries, and now they're wearing to take back first place by force! It's Fairy Tail!" The man yelled as Fairy Tail Team A walked out, Natsu's fist held high, proudly, until... the crowd started to boo, taking the team by surprise.
"Who would have thought they'd make it this far by losing every year!" I tuned out everything the guy was saying as I watched as the team was booed and shut down. I watched angrily, losing my temper by the second until Laxus put his hand on my shoulder.
"Calm down hot head, don't let it get to you. They wouldn't know what a good team is even if it punched them in the face." He said. I sigh and nod, attempting to calm myself down.
"Next up! The team that came in seventh place in the preliminaries, Quatro Cerberus!" The crowd cheered for the team, angering me even more. Oh really?! So they cheer for those dopes but not for us?! I've never even heard of that guild! Mira, with a smile on her face, held me back from attacking the other team.
"And, coming in sixth is a guild filled to the brim of the fairer sex, the damsels of the great blue sea, MERMAID HEEL!" At least they admitted the women are better than men.
"In fifth place, is Blue Pegasus!" Ugh, those pervs?
"Next, in fourth place, the goddess of love, sacred destroyer, LAMIA SCALE!" Whatever.
"Now to introduce our third place contestant. What a shocker, swooping in from a midnight query, this dark and gloomy bunch are making their debut in this years games! Give it up for RAvEnTaiL~" The introducer announces in a wavy voice.
"What?!" I yell angrily, making Laxus cover my mouth so no one could hear my scream. "Arrr tomf omfcomds imeirhftF!" I muffled into his hand, before licking it to get him to remove it. He quickly removed it and wiped is on his shirt.
"What the hell?!" He yelled at me.
"I was trying to talk! Anyways, are those officials incompetent?!"
