Eggs~Chapter 16

~Y/n's POV~

I wiped my tears away, and calmed my breathing. Both Akina and B/n have calmed around the same time I had. I sigh and placed the picture frame back on the counter. Before I turned around, I glanced at the picture once more.

My eyes scanning over the happy and youthful faces of myself and my siblings. We were once such a happy family, then.....it all just crumbled away. What happened? I sigh, wiping away the last of my tears.

I turned and faced my two younger siblings. "Let's leave and do something to get our minds off of....of...T-taylor." I stutter. Both sadly nodded, but said nothing. I sighed as I picked E/n up in my arms and handed Selena over to be held by B/n.

I looked down and took Akina's hand in my own, rubbing my thumb along the outside of her palm. She looked up at me and gave me a light smile, to which I returned.

"Let's return to the guild. The whole, bikini thing should have died down by now."
"I sure hope so." B/n mumbled, making me smile at his protectiveness. I lightly chuckled and gave my twin a side hug. "Thank you B/n, but I can take care of myself." I tell him.

He nodded, "I know," He said, "but, you are still my sister and I always want you to be safe. And I'm always going to be protective over you and Akina. Erika has left us, and you two are all I have now. I can't lose either of you." He said. I smile and gave him a large bear hug. "Thank you." I said, but it was muffled by his shoulder being pressed against my face.

I let go of him and turned, and left my apartment with Akina and B/n following behind me. While we walked, E/n jumped out of my arms and onto my shoulder. I smiled and pet him head for a second, before letting my arm fall hang limply, swinging back and forth as I walked. "E/n, would you please fly ahead to see if the chaos has calmed down?" I asked. "Aye sir!" He said jokingly. I stared at my exceed. "Please....just...no." E/n laughed, then turned and flew off.

Not much later, E/n had made his way back. "All clear!" He exclaimed, before starting to fly parallel with Selena. I can still remember the day B/n and I had found their eggs.

~Flashback~

This was before Iris had left on July 7, X777. My young self was running through the woods, giggling, with my younger twin chasing behind me, also giggling. "Come on Y/n! That was my porkchop!" B/n complained as he chased me. I laughed and took another bite of the delicious pork chop, showing off my fangs.

"Too bad! You're going to have to be quicker that that little brother!" I laughed. I could hear Iris chuckling in the background. I glanced back, and saw B/n slowing down from exhaustion.

I laughed, then turned and started jogging backwards. "Com on, B/n. Please catch up. Don't slow down you slow poke." He rolled his eyes and looked up and watched as I moved backwards. A couple seconds later, he started running towards me, with his eyes wide.

"Y/n! Stop! You're going to tr-"

THUMP!

I fell to the ground, with a large bang. "Ow." I mumbled, rubbing my back. "Trip...." B/n had finished his sentence. I look up at him and glare. "You could have told me sooner." I grumble. B/n gave me a sheepish look. I slowly got up. "What did I trip over?" I ask. He shrugs and walks over, and picks something up.

"I think it was this."

"What is it?"

"I don't know." He replied. I walked over, and took the object from him.

"It looks like an egg." I say. B/n slowly nods. Suddenly, we hear a branch breaking. We both look up to see another egg falling to the ground. "B/n! Catch it!" I scream. B/n dove to the ground, barely catching the egg in his small arms. I leaned down and helped my brother stand. We both look down at the glittering egg. "Woah." I mumble.

"I wonder what's in it." B/n suddenly says. I glance up at my brother, then turn my gaze back down to the egg. "Let's go ask Iris." I said. He nodded in agreement.

~Flashback over~

I look up to find myself in front of the guild doors. I smile, and open up the doors. Almost instantly, E/n and Selena flew in and joined the other exceeds. And almost right after, Juvia had clung onto B/n.

B/n sighed and walked over to the bar, grabbing a beer. I roll my eyes at my brother and walked over to Team Natsu. I sat down, and smiled at them. "Hey weirdos." I said. They all looked up at me. I started talking to them, not noticing a blush growing on Gray's and Natsu's cheeks. But, Erza did notice. The redhead smirked at the two men. "Erza, why are you smirking?" I asked.

She turned to me, her facial expression changing to innocence. "Oh, no reason." She said, sort of suspiciously. Natsu and Gray sort of glared at the S-class woman, which caused me to give them a weird look. I rolled my eyes. "Weirdos." I stood up to go check on Gajeel, because he was still in the infirmary. As I turned, I found someone standing in front of me.

"LOKE!" Lucy screamed at her celestial spirit. The Zodiac smirked down at me, his hand cupped around my cheek. B/n, Natsu and Gray silently glared at Loke. I rolled my eyes at him, and pulled away. "Don't you have another woman to flirt with." I said.

"But maybe, I want to flirt with a beautiful woman like you." He purred. And once again, I rolled my eyes for like the millionth time today. I looked around for something to distract him. A smirk grew on my lips. "Oh Loke, I think Lucy really wants some company. And I think you are the perfect person to give that to her." Loke's eyes lit up and he appeared next to his key holder. "Y/N!" Lucy screamed, causing me to giggle.

Suddenly, the guild doors were burst open. Everyone spun around to face a woman. She was very pale and had dark brown hair that was pulled into a braid. Her dark brown eyes held fear and panic.
"Please someone help!" She screamed, tears rolling down her cheeks. Most everyone stood and neared her as she walked further into the guild. "Please!" She yelled out. Makarov made his way to the woman quickly, pushing his way through the crowd.

"Ma'am. What's wrong?" He asked her. She looked down at the small man, tears still falling.

"Please help! My son, we were just at the market and he fell! He is in a great amount of pain. I don't know what's happening to him." My eyes widened at what the woman had said. Could it be him? Drake? Why would he hurt an innocent boy?
I grew angry, but managed to hide it. Makarov spun around. "Wendy! Y/n! Come on and help the boy." He yelled to the two of us. "Yes sir!" She called, racing out of the guild with me in tow. Carla and e/n were flying behind us.
