(This is a sneak peak for the next chapter, as I realized the next chapter would take me much longer than usual to write.)

"How are you alive?" I whispered, catching Taylor off guard.

"Pardon?"

"How are you alive?! I saw you die! I sat there and cried over your dead body!" I yelled, tears spilling down my cheeks. "I buried you, and cried for weeks! I have gone through so much the past fourteen years! You abandoned me when I needed you most!" I sobbed, Akina stood behind me, silent tears rolling down her face. Taylor looked down, guilt written across her facial features.

"Y/n, I-.. I'm sorry." She apologized.

"Oh? You're sorry? You're sorry?! Sorry isn't good enough! Countless times I have almost lost my life! Countless times I have sobbed when a memory of you is brought up! Countless times I have defended you and this family! For fourteen years I have thought you died! I thought that I was all alone! And all you can say is you're sorry?!" I cried, screaming at her.

"Y/n, please, let me explain." She pleaded.

"Tell me when I am not mourning the lost days that I could have spent with my "dead" sister." I snapped, before pivoting on one foot and entering my apartment, slamming my door behind me.

Knock knock knock.

I yawned, stood up and trudged to my apartment door, opening it to be met with Gray, Happy and Natsu. Natsu gave me a large, toothy smile, with Happy happily sitting on his shoulder, while Gray just smirked. I yawned once again, covering my mouth with my hand, letting the boys only getting a glance at my sharp canine teeth.

"What's up?" I asked, rubbing my right eye with my fist. Natsu pulled out a slightly crumpled paper that had a rip on the top. I leaned forward, and squinted my eyes, trying to read the words while my vision was still slightly blurry from sleep.

"Its a request asking for a couple wizards to mentor a group of teens working on being heroes or something!" He exclaimed.

"Heroes huh?" I chuckled, leaning back. "Sure, let me change and get packed." I told them, holding my door open, letting them in my apartment, before I closed the door and treaded back to my bedroom to pack.

"Le' go!" I yelled as I exited my room, carrying a bookbag on my back with E/n sitting on my shoulder. Natsu and Gray stood up, Happy flying behind them as we exited my apartment and made our way to the train station, Natsu groaning in displeasure, making me and Gray chuckle.

"Wow..." I said in awe as the sender of the request guided the five of us down a cement path and towards a very expensive looking building. The guide laughed and nodded.

"What was your name again?" Gray asked, with an eyebrow raised.

"I go by the Black Canary." The blonde woman responded. We all nodded and continued into the building. "It's my alias, as we don't want our enemies knowing our real names and using our identities against us."

"Ahhhh..." We say in understanding but become quiet when we hear voices.

"All shipments of venom have been inexplicably cutoff. That's where this team comes in. This is a covert recon mission only! Observe and report. If the Justice League needs to intervene, it will. The plan requires two drop zones," We hear a very deep voice say.

"So who's in charge?" A younger voice asks.

"Work that out between you." The deeper voice replies. "But," They add, but the black canary interrupts.

"But... you guys may be doing this mission yourself without us, but we don't want to leave you completely on your own. We hired a few people to accompany you, only to make sure you don't get hurt or in trouble. They won't tell you what to do or control the mission, but are merely there to make sure nothing goes wrong. Meaning, you can't even ask them what to do." She explains, catching everyone's attention.

I see an older man wearing all black with a mask covering the top of his face, and a red robot standing next to him. My gaze then moves over to the teens. There is a dark skinned boy with short blonde hair, and a tall, buff looking teen in a black shirt that has a red S on it. Next to him is a green skinned girl with red hair, and a seemingly angst, black haired boy wearing sunglasses. The last teen was average height, pale, red hair, and freckles, and was eating a bag of chips. A couple of the teens looked annoyed at the idea of being supervised. Whatever, not my problem. Happy and E/n finally pad up behind us, flying into the air to be next to me and Natsu.

"What the?!" The snacking boy yelled when he saw the exceeds.
