I stood on the balcony of the hotel room, staring in awe as the hotels moved and a large orb took to the air. "And the Sky Labyrinth preliminary round begins!" The announcer exclaims. I exchange glances with my teammates, and quickly jump on the ramp and begin running up it towards the maze.
"Y/n, where are you going?!" Mira yelled after me.
"I'm getting us a place in the actual games!" I call back to them.
Finally, we found ourselves in the actual maze. Gajeel cursed to himself, commenting on his frustration of not knowing where to go. Mira gasps and explains the direction of east is where we must arrive. We immediately began following the compass that I had with me, ignoring the fact that I was still dressed in my pajamas.
As we continued moving east ward, we ran into another team. They immediately went to attack us, and before we could react, one had pushed past me, attempting to attack Gajeel. Caught off guard, I yelped and fell off the edge of the platform. "Y/N!" Mira yelled after me. Everyone on the floor froze.
"Requip: Angel." I whispered to myself, before flying back up past the platform to hover above everyone, scaring them all. The other guild stared at me, allowing me to throw my spear at them and push them off the platform. "Requip: Assassin." I changed to a more flexible outfit.
When I landed, something caught my attention. I bent down and picked it up. "Hey guys! A map!" We all cheered and continued on our merry way, occasionally meeting other guilds, and having to adjust to the changing of the maze, which always scared the crap out of me.
And.... we made SECOND FREAKING PLACE. FUCK YOU SABERTOOTH.
