I smile as I approach team Natsu. Erza was standing with a bird atop her head and the others were crouched down in a circle around Happy.
"Hey Fairy Tail, you better come to the broken suspension bridge on the western hill." Happy read aloud from a piece of paper held in his grip.
"Damn notes not the boss of us." Natsu huffed.
"No kidding. I don't care for their tone. Not one bit." Gray agreed. Wow, they actually agreed with each other. That's a first. And Natsu didn't even realize it. Neither did Gray. I guess I'll have to tell them about it later.
"What should we do?" Wendy asked.
"Why ignore it of course!" Carla replied.
"I think we should go there."
"I agree with Erza," I cut in, catching everyone's attention. They all smile at me and greet me, to which I reply. "It may seem like a trap, but we may never know unless we go. Sometimes, traps work out in your favor. It might not even be a trap." The all reluctantly agree.

"This must be the broken suspension bridge." I mumbled as we all stood in front of a large, broken bridge that was still falling apart. There was no bridge to cross to get to the other side, that is, until, suddenly, the planks of wood that used to make up the bridge flew up and joined together, forming the bridge again.
"Well that's not suspicious." I say awkwardly. "Well here we go." I was about to walk across, until Erza stopped me, asking if I was sure if it was safe. I simply shrugged my shoulders, but before I could continue walking, Gray pushed Natsu on, who started to yell at him. When he crossed, Erza admitted that none of us thought it would stay together, causing Natsu to yell at us for using him as a lab rat.

"I hope they attack us soon." Natsu grumbled as we continued walking.
"Indeed, a tough opponent will make for great training." Erza agreed. I chuckled, catching their attention.
"Ha, don't say that. It makes it sound like, for the past three months, you all were slacking off and partying instead of training." I laughed again but they all stayed silent. My eyes widened and I stopped laughing. "You guys trained right?" They didn't reply. "OH MY GOD! WHAT WERE YOU GUYS THINKING?!" I screamed angrily, causing some of them to flinch.
Before any of them could say anything, Erza stopped. We looked up to see three cloaked figures approaching us. That smell seemed familiar.... Jellal.
"You came, thank you. It's nice to see you again." He mumbled, before he and his comrades threw off their hoods, revealing his blue hair and two other girls. One with pink hair, and the other with dark brown.
I didn't listen to any of the words being exchanged, as I didn't find any interest in them. The brown haired girl, she smelled sort of like the ice that kept Deliora captive. The ice was Ur, Gray's teacher. Why would they smell the same? I could not get a clear smell from the pink haired girl.
But the better question has yet to be asked and answered. How and when did Jellal escape prison, and who are these women with him?
I was brought out of my thoughts when Jellal said one name that strikes fear in everyone who hears it. The name that creates a burning flame of anger and fury inside of me. The person to whom that name belongs to is responsible for what my biological family had become.
"Zeref. Dark guilds and any evil force in the world that seeks to destroy the lives of innocents. We'll purge every one of them so no wizard will be possessed by his darkness again." Jellal finished his speech, and allowed the rest to say their inputs.
"I am completely for your cause. Zeref is a leading cause for majority of dark guilds, and a dark guild is why I am here today, with only to biological family members still standing. You are doing great for this world, and I believe that you can really make a difference." I told them.
"We brought you here to ask a favor. Is it true you'll be entering the Grand Magic Games this year?" The brown haired had asked. I continued listening to their conversation until I learned that her name was Ultear, and the pink hair girl was named Meredy.
"Did we mention we'll be paying upfront?" Ultear asked.
"FOOD MONEY?!" Lucy, Happy and Natsu yelled.
"Oh no, nothing so material. I've had years to improve upon my Arc of Time magic and can use it to enhance your abilities. A power up, at least that's one way to put it. Though it's not entirely accurate." She paused then continued. "Wizards possess something like an internal container that determines how much magic power they can have. Though, it's depleted with every spell you cast. Your body naturally draws in ethernano from the surrounding atmosphere all on it's own, and continues to do so until the container is full again. But, recent research has revealed that there is a part of this container and the magic it holds that goes unused. A reservoir of dormant power. They have come to call these hidden troves of magic, the second origin." She finally finished.
"Seriously?" Natsu asked in awe.
"Not only can my arc of time force your containers to grow, but I can also grant you access to your second origin. Simply put, you'll not only be able to use more powerful magic, but you can keep using it for longer periods of time." She added on. This seemed to make each of them very happy. "Though, be ready! Unlocking your second origin will involve unimaginable pain." Very few of them seemed to actually listen to the last sentence. I stood off to the side as they all rejoiced.

We stood on a cliff, watching worriedly as Natsu writhed in pain. There were red markings covering his body as he reached up, attempting to somehow rid himself of the pain. He continued to yell out in pain.
"Man, I hope whatever we just signed up for is worth it." Gray said.
"I don't think this is a very persuasive advertisement for it." Lucy added.
"Stay strong. I know this is tough, but you still have a long way to go. Natsu." Ultear said, which was, in no way, helpful. I watched sympathetically as the pain never ceased.
"I know he has to go through this, but does a healing spell that just gets rid of pain interfere with the spell?" I ask Ultear. She nodded.
"Sorry, but that would, unfortunately, attempt to heal the second origin. A healing spell would fight against my spell and would try and heal and close up the container that holds your second origin." I nod and look back down at Natsu. Poor man. I am really trying to not think of what pain I would have to undergo when it was my turn.

Erza and I stood side by side, in front of Crime Sorciere. Wendy, Natsu and the rest were inside a shed, having their second origins unlocked. It hurt me to listen to their screams.
"It seems your magic is incapacitated the others." Erza spoke up.
"How are you two not being affected by it?" Ultear asked.
"I wish we could help you further, but we have to stay on the move. This is goodbye for now." Jellal changed the subject.
"Get ahold of us by carrier pigeon if you find anything. In the meantime, do your very best at the games." Meredy said kindly. Erza and I thanked her.
"Until we meet again, Erza." Jellal said as he turned away, putting his hood back on.
"You too Y/n." Meredy added. I turned to Erza and wiggled my eyebrows. In a deep voice I spoke, mocking Jellal.
"Until we meet again, Erza." She rolled her eyes and punched my shoulder. "Anyways, Erza, why didn't the spell affect us?" I asked. She smiled and explained that her second origin was already unlocked, and my probably was too.
