okay well let's see uHmmm hm i've been getting into a LOT of new stuff recently so i figure --- well i oughta tell ya !
okay so on Twitter there's basically this whole 80s community and most of the people in that community are also into 70s and 60s stuff. and i love music from the 60s and fashion from the 60s but i've never really been that into the 70s until about a month ago maybe ??
anyway i found this girl who's into River Phoenix and The Doors and i thought hm i should probably check them out. like they seemed pretty popular n a lot of people on Twitter dug them ,,, pretty un-problematic band too !!
so anyway since late September/early October i've been really into The Doors and all that !! The Doors are this rock band formed in the late 60s and they were popular in the early 70s until the lead singer, Jim Morrison died. i already knew who Jim was cos of one of Lana's lyrics "I'm livin' like Jim Morrison", and i was like "oh i know that dude !!" anyway i've been getting really into that band and their music always makes me feel good !!
so yeah i'm actually in love with The Doors and Jim Morrison but i also love Ray Manzarek he's the keyboard and he's a cutie pie and his keyboard solos are the only ones i can bop to !!
and then i started listening to Led Zeppelin and i honestly didn't like their music that much but now i like Babe I'm Gonna Leave You and Kashmir and those are really the only songs i like. i would be more into them if they didn't plagiarize from so many artists ?? and if Jimmy Page wasn't a FUCKING pedophile that everyone glorifies for some reason ??
no let me go into rant mode. half the girls that are into Led Zeppelin on Twitter claim to be against r*pe culture and will talk about Brock Turner and all that but dead ass make "funny" memes about Jimmy Page being a pedophile ?? and some of them have even reached so far as to defend him lmao uh you okay sis ?! how can you claim to be against r*pe culture but support a then mid-20s year old man having (consensual) sex with 13-15 year old girls lol that's actually gross ?? and using them as groupies ?? mmm i don't think so !! and ya it was in the 70s but that doesn't excuse the fact that he was a pedophile and you fail to grasp the graveness of that situation.
anyway i only really have hope in John Bonham lmfao he seems quiet and i love Robert Plant's face and his hair but he seems sus ... we'll see.
anyway another thing i've always been into was Queen. like in 5th grade i was obsessed with Bohemian Rhapsody and We Will Rock You and Another One Bites the Dust and Who Wants to Live Forever but just a few days ago i started getting into their songs like Under Pressure and Don't Stop me Now and Somebody to Love and all that and these songs are SUCH BOPS. and Don't Stop me Now dead just started playing hahaha.
okay anyway i've also been doing a lot of dancing ??? not dance classes just dancing to all my music and i always feel like i'm in the seventies and FUCK it feels so good just havin such a good time boppin around my room. 10/10 recommend. like all the mornings of this week, i've been dancing before school and it actually helps wake me up and my mood increases and yay !
anyway i also recently watched the movie American Beauty and it was such a fucked up and twisted and sad movie. it was amazing. it really was like y'all i was crying at the end but i actually understood what the message of the movie was. i would honestly go into full movie plot reveal but ig i'll do that in another rant. anyway i'ma just give y'all the last line of the movie so ya could dwell on it. the italicized part is the part that hits ya ! and also don't read it if you don't want the movie spoiled because it lowkey spoils it.
