A Jack Grealish One Shot

It was yet again one of those rainy days that just made you feel so cold down to your bone that made you feel so down and just done with your life in general.

I woke up,hearing the pounding bass of the raindrops on my window,waking me up.

"Fuck my life,this is why I told Dad why I didn't want to go to college."

I get out of bed and pull out the outfit I laid out yesterday.

"Coffee I need coffee!"

Yes I am one of those annoying people who can't function in the morning without a nice big cup of coffee to wake me up and shock some energy into my body. I swear,I look like a walking zombie without coffee.

I stumble around my apartment and grab my mug and fill it with coffee. I need to start getting ready for college,otherwise I'm going to be late for my first class which starts about half an hour from now.

I finished eating my breakfast and grab my keys and umbrella,then head out the door still wishing that I could make the tube.

As soon as my feet hit the first puddle on the sidewalk,I instantly regret coming out in the first place. I shield myself and walk as quickly as I can to the tube station.

And of course my luck just had to get worse,as soon as I was about a foot away from the tube station someone in a fancy car splashed me with water and drenched me.

"Miss I'm so so sorry!" A handsome male jumped out of the driver's seat.

"Are you really?"

"Yes of course! Let me make it up to you,I'll take you to wherever you need to go."

"How do I know you're not some creepy pedophile who end up raping me in some dark and deserted alley?"

"First of all you have a very vivid imagination and by the way do I look like a creepy pedophile who will rape you?"

"Yeah sure,that's what they all say."

"Just get in please?"

I reluctantly got into his car and the warm air that hit me with a pang was so nice and welcoming so much that I almost didn't regret into his car.

"My name is Jack what's yours?"

"Lauren,what do you do for a living to have earned such a nice car?"

"Uh.. I play football."

"Oh really? Which team do you play for?"

"I actually play for Aston Villa."

'Wait so does that mean you're playing in the match against Chelsea today then?'

"Well yes, wow you really do know your football."

I laughed and comfortable silence fell over us in the car.

"By the way I'm going to London University."

"Alright I'm going to use Waze."

As i reached out to turn on the radio,he did the same thing and our hands touched,wait more like collided at the radio.

I turned around,blushing and so did he.

"Would you like to go out for some coffee sometimes?" Jack suddenly blurted out when we reached the entrance of the university.

"Sure here's my phone number. Now I'm pretty sure you're not a creepy pedophile who will rape me."

We both laughed and I got out.

"See you later Jack."

"See ya Lauren."

I used to hate the rain because it was so annoying and just caused so much hassle and problems for me. But after I met Jack,I was so happy that it rained that day because otherwise Jack wouldn't have splashed me and I would have never met him.
