Why Is Life So Complicated?

Meredith's POV
After we did the chest CT. The results came in. It said the guy cracked his rib from the impact that car came at him. He would need surgery right away to fix the major crack in his rib. After 4 hours in the or. I finally got to go home. It was great to able to sleep comfy. 15 minutes later, I got page to come in. Great this is just great. I say to myself. Sometimes I wonder why I became a surgical intern. I mean I love my job. But the work with it is a constant headache. I just was laying down when my pager went off and interrupted my peaceful night at home.

Alex's POV
After being in the OR fixing this guy's rib for four hours. I finally get to rest, but then I saw Meredith come into the hospital."Meredith, what are you doing here"? I ask her."I got paged" Meredith says to me.

"Oh that sucks, see you later" I say to her.
"Yeah it does, see later Alex". She says as she walks to the doors.

As she walks away, I watch her leave and I think I'm falling for her. I can't she is my intern. I was just waiting for my next page. As I was waiting, I saw Derek Shepard. He was talking to the chief.

"Chief Webber, what is he doing here? I asked rudely.

"I need help here so I called him to work here" he told me.

"No this isn't right, I never wanted to to see you again Derek"! I yelled at Derek.

"Alex, I'm sorry about Izzie I really am" he told me.

"Derek" I heard someone say behind me. It was Izzie.

"What are you doing here? Izzie asks him.

"The chief told me to come here". He told her. I was so pissed that he was here. I got paged, at least I get of out of this. But it was Meredith to go on call room. We did it again, after I heard Dr. Bailey, I quickly got dressed.

Derek's POV
I knew he was going to be pissed. He found out that after her and mark. We got together again. He is still mad at me for that. I feel so bad about the affair. She told me, she was pregnant but it was false alarm. Then I found out that mark and my new wife, Addison cheated. So I know how it feels. "Alex" I say to him.

"What do you want"! He yells at me.

"I wanted to say I'm sorry about the affair with Izzie. I know how it feels to be cheated on". I say to him.

"What do you mean, you know how it feels?" He asks concerned.

"Addison cheated on me with Mark Sloan" I tell him.

"I don't know what to say, but I'm sorry she cheated on you" he says to me."

I know it might be hard to get your trust back,but I would like to try" I tell him.

"I'm not sure if we can work this out Derek" Alex says to me.

After my talk with Alex I went to this bar called Joe's. I sat at the stool. And I saw Alex and Meredith. "Hey" I say to them. "Hi" Alex and Meredith say to me. I get a drink and I see this girl. But couldn't remember how I met her before. Because I was drunk. I woke up in bed with Meredith. Alex is going kill me.

That's all I can think about now. "Derek, what are you doing here"? she's asks me confused and shocked."I don't know, I don't remember much of last night" I tell her."I was with Alex and that's all I remember" she tells me. "Did we have sex"? I ask her."No I have my clothes on" she tells me."That's good" I say to her. I got up and got dressed. I opened the door and I found Alex on the couch just staring at me. "Derek"! He yells angrily."We didn't do anything, Alex. I heard Meredith say behind me. "Mer, Are you telling the truth"? Alex asks Meredith. "Yes, I am Alex, I love you Alex" Meredith says with confident smile."You love me Mer"? Alex asks Meredith."Yes I love you Alex karev" Meredith says to Alex as she goes up to kiss him."I love you too Mer" Alex tells Meredith as he is holding in his arms."I'm going to go" I tell them as I leave the house. That was awkward and very confusing. I don't know if Alex will ever trust me. If that keeps happening.

Meredith's POV
I went to bar with Alex. I hope we make it official soon. When we saw Derek at Joe's, we were talking about our rib surgery. "Hey" Derek says to me and Alex. "Hi" Me and Alex both say to Derek.

The next morning. I woke up in bed with Derek. How did this happen I asked myself. "Derek, what are you doing here" I ask me confused and shocked."I don't know and I don't remember much of last night" Derek says to me."I was with Alex, that's all I remember" I say to Derek. After he said we didn't have sex. He left the bed and got dressed. I saw him leave the bedroom. I heard Alex say."Derek" Alex yelled with anger. I told him we didn't do anything. And that I love him. I didn't realize until now. That I loved him and I was happy to be with him. After the argument, Derek left. "Mer, would you like to be my girlfriend"? Alex asks me. I was so happy to finally hear that "Yes", Alex I will be your girlfriend" I say to him and kiss him.

Alex's POV
When I saw Meredith walk out with Derek. My heart broke and I couldn't believe Derek would do this again. I remember Meredith saying that she loves me. "You love me"? I ask her surprised. "Yes I love you Alex karev" she say to me.
After Derek leaves I ask her to be my girlfriend. I will finally be happy again. I just hope that mark doesn't come here. He loves sex and flirting. And apparently sleeping with people's wives.
