Can It Be Fixed?

Mer's pov
The next morning. I was admitted to the hospital. They had to do a rape kit test. Addison was called.

"Mer what are you doing here for a rape examination"? Addie asked.

"I was raped last night" I croaked out.

"Oh my god, Mer"! Addie said shocked.

"Yeah can you please tell Alex that I'm here" I asked.

"Of course, but where was Alex when this happened"? Addie asked.

"He thought I was cheating on him. He stormed off. I told Nathan off. Then he raped me. Owen punched him. And that's why Nathan was carried out of here by the police" I explained.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry Mer" Addie says with tears running down her face which is what made me cry.

"Okay let's just get this done" Addie said as she continued the exam.

   After she was done she gave the treatment plan. Since I'm 30 weeks pregnant. She had to make sure that the baby wasn't affected. But it wasn't. That's only part I was happy about. She told me that she told Alex that I was in hospital. She told to get some rest. I closed my eyes while cris watched me sleep. My heart quicken from the nightmare of what happened last night.

"Mer calm down. Your bp is too high for the baby" Addie says. I start to hear the machine beep. I woke up with a blanket over me. I start to cry.

"Oh my god, mer you're alive" Addie says happily as she takes the blanket off me.

"Someone page, Dr Karev stat"! Addie shouted.

"Alex is here"? I asked.

"Wait where's my baby"? I asked again.

"We had to deliver, because Amelia declared you brain dead. So your baby will live. She is healthy Alex is seeing her right now" Addie tells me.

Addie's pov
I walk into the room. When I saw Meredith. I asked her why she was here. She said she was raped last time. My heart dropped. I did the exam after she told me what happened. I felt so helpless. I came in to check on her. She was having a nightmare. 

"Mer calm down. Your bp is too high for the baby" I calmly tell Mer to calm down.

"V-tech" April yells.

We put the shock machine on her chest. Still nothing happens.

"Mer come on, please don't do this" I beg. Nothing happens. After 40 mins of trying to relive her. "Time of death 15:23" Owen says in a pained voice. I cried so much. I shook her body. But nothing worked. Amelia declares her brain dead. "No!" I cried. "Please Mer" I said again. Still nothing. " it's time to deliver the baby" Arizona says. "I can't she still too little" I pleaded. A voice a came to me and said it's not too little. You have delivered much smaller babies then this.

"Okay, time to deliver the baby" I say. I cut her stomach open. The baby was still little. She is only 30 weeks. But she will just fine. I grab my phone and call Alex.

"Hello, this dr Alex Karev" Alex answered.

"Hello, alex this is Addie. I'm afraid we have some bad news" I said trying to hold back my sobs.

"Okay I will be right over" he said and hung up. But before he did. When I told I had bad news I heard his heavy breathing. His voice sounded horse. When got here. I saw his face. His eyes were bloodshot. But his face reminded ready for the news.

"I'm so sorry Alex. She was having a nightmare. When I tried to tell her to calm down. She flat lined. We worked 30 minutes trying to relive her. But nothing worked. Owen called time of death at 15:23" I regretfully told Alex the heart breaking news.

   One his best friend is dead. Two his wife and mother of his kids was dead. I could never forget his face. The tears streamed down his face. The he started to hyperventilate. After he calmed down. He asked about his baby.

"What about Lexie, is she okay"? Alex asked. I tell by his face he was really need good news.

"Lexie we had to deliver her, she is only 30 weeks" I answered. The look of relief washed over Alex's face.

"Can I see her"? Alex asked but more like pleaded.

"Of course" Arizona said as took Alex to see his daughter. His last daughter. With Mer's blood and his blood. What happened was so weird I heard beeping. And someone struggling to take off their mask. I walk into the room.

"Oh my god mer your alive" I cried out with happiness. "Someone page dr Karev stat"! I shout to the nurse. 

Alex's pov
My flight was cancelled because of a storm. I was going to tell Izzie I was going back to her house. But I saw I had a voicemail from Meredith. I decided to listen to it. It said this.

"Alex I know your really mad. But please call me back. Here's what happened. And please listen to whole message. I took Liam to daycare when Nathan pulled into the exam room. At the time I didn't know it was him. I punched and kicked. Then he told me who he was. He kepting telling me that I wasn't happy but I am so happy Alex. He forced me to kiss him. That was his plan. After you yelled at me. I yelled at him. I told him if didn't leave me alone I was getting a restraining order against him. As I was trying to leave. He grabs me and throws. I hit my head. He pulls of my scrubs. And takes his shirt off. I begged him to stop. He told shut up by putting his dick in me. Please Alex I need you. The door slammed open. I was hoping was you. But it was Owen he told him to get the fuck away from me. He punched Nathan right in the head and fell to ground. He was knocked out cold. I told Owen what happened. I know you went drinking and Owen came back here. Because he heard me yelling and crying. Your staying at George's and Izzie's house. Please call me back I need you so much right now" She explained while her voice was shaking.

My heart dropped. My stomach turned with sickness. I was a so angry. I was mad at myself. That I didn't answer her call. It actually makes want to throw up. My stomach hurts. I ran over to the trash can and puked. My throat burned. After I threw up. My phone rang. Hoping it was mer.

"Hello, Alex it's Addie. I'm afraid we have bad news" Addie says.

"Okay I will be right over" I say. I hang up. I raced to the hospital. When I get to her room. Addie, Amelia, Cristina, Owen and April were there. There faces gave it away. I knew something went wrong. 

"I'm so sorry Alex. She was having a nightmare. When I tried to tell her to calm down. She flat lined. We worked 30 minutes trying to relive her. But nothing worked. Owen called time of death at 15:23"  Addie regretfully told me the heart breaking news. One my best friend is dead. Two my wife and mother of mine kids was dead. My body felt like it was being torn down and pushed around. The tears streamed down my face. I started to hyperventilate.

"What about Lexie, is she okay"? I asked. I could really use good news right now. 

"Lexie we had to deliver her, she is only 30 weeks" Addie answered.

The look of relief washed over My face.

"Can I see her"? I asked but more like pleaded.

"Of course" Arizona said as took Me to see my daughter. My last daughter. With Mer's blood and my blood.

   She looked so adorable, but tiny. This all Riggs fault. This wouldn't of ever happened if wasn't for him. My blood boiled thinking of what that bastard did to mer. I start to cry.

"Doctor Karev your pager" someone told me. I look who it was. It was Addie. I ran right over to her. "Alex" mer says.

"Oh my god your alive" I say in complete relief.
"Did you get my message"?  Mer croaks.

My heart dropped again. "Yes Mer. I'm so sorry. I'm going to kill him for doing that to you" I say bitterly.

"Alex, before you go to prison again. I have to tell you. That he was arrested last night. I put a restraining order against him. I'm taking his ass to court and he's going to lose" Mer bitterly chokes out into sobs.

"'Mer, Mer will get through this" I tell her as I rub her back and comfort her.
