What's Better Than Joe's?

Alex's pov
After Mer told the whole court really happened. I was shocked. He also abused her too. My hands clench. My blood was boiling. "Guilty" The jury said. The word I was waiting to hear. We won and rightfully so. And that bastard is going prison. Hearing that made my day. I wiped my tears out of my eyes.

"Ready to go home"? I asked. 

"More than ever" She replied with a sad smile but also happiness.

"Let's go" I replied back as I grab her hand and we leave to go home. When we are home. She just lays on the couch and cuddles with our cat. Liam wanted him so badly.

"Mer want to go joe's to celebrate"? I asked.

"Yeah I could you some tequila" she implies as she grabs her coat.

I just roll my eyes. "You should just marry tequila" I scoffed fake being offended.

"I already have" Mer sarcastically cries out of laughter.

"I can't believe you, Mer" I joke with her. There's the happy Meredith I haven't seen since our fight a month ago. I see Jackson walk in with April.

"Hey guys" Jackson says as he sits down at the bar seat next to us. Jackson is on my side and April is on Mer's side.

"Hey jacks" mer giggles.

"Great you got her drunk" Jackson laughs.

"Hey she really needed it after a day like this" I snap.

"Okay guys, let's not fight. There has been too much fighting lately"April points out. I roll my eyes at her. April rolls her eyes back.

"Hey do you guys want to come to our house and we can pick the kids up. And they can play together"? April asked.

"Yay more tequila"! Mer exclaimed. I just laugh . Jackson rolls his eyes.

"Mer, I think you have had enough" Jackson joked.

"I haven't had that much" Mer replied.

Her voice started to slur. "Yeah that would be fun. Maybe mer will sober up" I replied.

"Hey I heard that"! Mer snapped but turn back to giggles again. Jackson, April and I rolled our eyes.

"I saw that too"! Mer said.

"Let's get going" April said as she grabbed her coat and payed for our drinks. I see Mer stumbling. I pick her up and put her on my back.

"Alex"! Mer giggled drunkly.

"Mer go to sleep" I told her as I put her in the car.

"Okay evil spawn" Mer drunkly smirked. Thanks a lot Cristina for saying that so much. That Mer says it around me.

"Mer"! I demanded.

"Chill Alex" Mer said starting to sober up.

"How you feeling"? I asked.

"Great just great Alex" Mer sassed. I roll my eyes.

"I saw that, even tho I'm drunk. Doesn't mean I can't see"! Mer snapped.

"Okay Mer" I sighed. I grabbed the kids. While Mer was taking her nap in the car.

"Kids want to go see your friends"? I asked.

"Yay"! Zola, baliey, Ellis and Liam squealed. Lexie babbled. I just smiled.

"Let's go" I called out as I closed the door. I put the kids in the car. We are halfway to Jackson and April's. I pulled into their driveway. We get out of the car.

"Hey guys, Harriet is in the playroom" April informs the kids. They run upstairs to the playroom.

"More tequila"! Mer giggled.

"Okay that's enough" I joked as I took Mer's glass away.

"Hey"! She yelled.

"That's mine and I wasn't finished"! Mer shouted.
