A Visit To New York

Callie's pov
  I finally got Sofia to sleep. When my phone rang. She woke me up from my sleep. So I sounded pretty tired when I answered the phone. 

"Hello"? I answered groggy.

"Hey, can me and the kids stay with you for a couple days" ? Mer asked.

"Yeah come on down" I replied.

"Thanks Callie" she said.

"Your welcome. Pick you when you land tomorrow " I stated.

"Sofie"! Zola squeaked as she ran to her best friend arms.

"Zo Zo" Sofia squeaked as she waited for Zola.

"Aunt Callie"! Bals screams as he runs to me.

"Bals! I yelled.

"Hey Callie thanks again"She said as I hugged me.

"Hey and your welcome it was nice to see you guys again. Where's Alex"? I asked.

"We got into another fight" She said as She grabbed her bags from the floor.

"What happened"? I asked.

"He cheated on me and got her pregnant" She choked out.

"Oh god Mer come here" I said as I put my arms out. I moved closer to her.

"He got jo pregnant the night I was raped by Nathan" She chocked out again but this time with tears.

"Oh Mer I'm so sorry" I said as I rub her back.

"Let's go do some sight seeing" She said as I pulled away and wiped my eyes.

"We could do that" I said.

"What about the Statue of Liberty"? Mer asked.

"Yeah let's go there first" Zola and Sofia cheered. 

"Yes Sof we can do that first"I comment.

Two days later
Mer gets a call from someone. She grabbed her phone. After two minutes on her phone.

"Are you okay"? I asked.

"No Alex is in the hospital. He tried to kill himself" She chocked into sobs.

"Oh my god. I'm coming with you to back home" I said.

We get on the plane. Me and Mer  get on the plane and drive to grey Sloan. "Meredith come this way" Jo says as she leads Mer to his room. "Oh Alex" I spoked soft.

"Why did you do this Alex. Mer is out here waiting for you to wake up. Mers lost a lot in life. But she doesn't need to lose you. Please Alex. She make look strong. But anytime she could fall apart. Please do this for Mer and your kids" I begged Alex.

As I walk about of Alex's room. Mer comes up to me. "Callie can you have Arizona watched the kids. So I can go back to house"? Mer asked.

"Mer I don't think that's a good idea" I state.

"Please Cal" She begged.

"Fine but I'm going with you" I say as I give in.

"Sof, moms going to be watching you and the kids okay?" I said.

"Okay mom"Sofia answered back. 

  I get into the car. We drive over to her house. I opened the door. When we finally reached the kitchen. I felt my heart pound in my chest. "Oh my god"! She cried. "Mer why did you say oh my god"?  I asked. "Oh my god"! I said. I look all over the kitchen. Mer found the knife laying on the blood splattered on the dark wooden floor. She picks it up. It was covered with Alex's blood. My stomach start to turn.

"Callie can you help me clean this up before the kids come home. I don't want them to see this" ? She asked me as tears run down her face.

"Yes I will help Mer" I replied. My voice dropped a few levels. After we were done. Mer ran out of there as fast as I could.

"Mer wait up"!  I called out. "Why does this always happen to me"? She asked shaken. "Mer I don't know. Maybe Alex was in a dark place. And just didn't notice" I said.

"Can we just go" She stuttered. "Yeah let's go"I said as I started the car.

"Meredith, Callie come please" Arizona said out of breath. My first thought was that he felt Mer alone. But when we got there he was okay. I was so unbelievably happy.
