Tessa's  POV

I start packing a box. One week until I am living in London. One week until I leave everything behind.

Mom said I was allowed one box of personal belongings, and one box of clothes, hygiene care and shoes.

I carefully decided what I wanted, based on the list of provided amenities in the dorms.

They have TV's, so I grabbed some classic movies I knew never got old; Mean Girls, Forrest Gump, Legally Blonde and a couple more.
I am bringing my journal to write about London, some sentimental stuffed animals, a couple books, and some bedset covers.

As I tape up the box, my phone starts ringing. Cristal is calling.

I plop on my bed and slide to answer.

"Hey babe! Wassup?" I ask, staying as joyful as I can seem.

"A big group of us are meeting at Starbucks, wanna join?" She asks.

I can't deny, I'm a bit of a coffee addict. I shoot up,"Uh, is it even a question? See ya in ten!"

"Bye! See ya soon!" She hangs up, and I rush to the closet to change. I've spent most of today in joggers and a tank top, so I figured I might want to look decent.

I put on a red sweater and black jeans, and put my hair in a ponytail. When I walk out the door with my bag in hand, Dad doesn't even question me.

They dont seem to care what I do. I guess they're trying to make up for forcing me to go to a school in London.

I pull my head out of the clouds, and start the quick drive to Starbucks.

Lila's POV

I packed a small box with what little variety of clothes I had, leaving a couple outfits to wear through this last week.

In my personal box, I pack a few photos, my journal, all of the Harry Potter books and Selection books, a teddy bear I got for my 6th birthday, bedsheets and a bag of candy I stole from my mom.

I lay on my bed, staring into the Van Gogh swirls painted on the ceiling.

I wonder what it will be like across the Atlantic. I know I'll have to get used to everyone's accent, but that's minor compared to everything else.

In my whole life, I've made one friend who loved me like a sister, and always had my back. One friend I couldn't bear to part with.

How in the world was I supposed to find someone who loved me as much as she does? It took years for us to develop that relationship!

On another note, how am I going to fare with my parents being gone? I've always been attached to my mom, I get anxiety spending a night at a friend's without her!

I'm suddenly pulled from my (rather depressing) thoughts by the ringing of my phone. I look at the name, Elle, and answer.

"Lila will you PLEASE meet me at Starbucks! I saw this girl that looked like the spitting image of you and I'm kind of freaked out!" She sputters.

I laugh,"Calm down! I saw a girl that looked like me the other day too, it's not that uncommon! I'll still meet you though, half cause I want a caramel Frappe and half because I want to be a good friend and reassure you."

She scoffs,"Fine. You're way to calm about this though. It's freaky how similar you two look."

I roll my eyes,"Whatever. See you in fifteen."

She laughs and hangs up.

I just throw on a jacket and my purse, and run downstairs. "Bye mom see you in a few hours!" I yell.

She grunts and I run outside, my skin stinging from the bitter cold. Walking is easier for me. I always like being able to have my on little alone time with mt thoughts. It's  so calming.

While my thoughts were plagued with visions of my future in London, I had made it to Starbucks. There are only about 3 or so groups of people, a half dozen people alone, and me and Elle.

When I sit down. I glance and see she already ordered my drink.

I thank Elle, and she fiddled her fingers nervously. "Its no big deal! I saw my doppelganger at the mall yesterday, so anything is possible now!" I insist, and she sighs.

"Please, Lila look behind you."

I roll my eyes, ready to give a smart remark when I get a full look of the look alike. Our eyes lock. It's the girl from the candy store.
