Tessa's POV
I wince as we hit a other bump on the way to the prison and my seatbelts digs into my hip. "We are almost there, don't worry ladies." Mr. Capaldi says.
I smile, looking at Lila. Do you think they will still love us? She thinks, concern evident in her expression. I don't know, maybe we can change them. I try to stay hopeful. That maybe, we really could change their corrupt selves. I can only wish to not succumb to their greed for power.
I glance out the window, watching as we approach an old, run down prison with a sort of dark aura surrounding it. "That does look intimidating at all..." I say sarcastically, pulling in more of the image.
Lila grabs my hand. I squeeze it, needing the support. "Are parents are here!?" I emphasize.
Mr. Capaldi gives a curt nod. I listen as the huge beyond-beleif gates creak open like rusted iron, it probably is. The driver flashes his ID at the security guards up front, and motions to the 3 of us in back.
They nod, say a few words and we pull into a VIP parking spot up front. The driver opens our door and we topple out. There are security checkpoints at every door we go through.
After what seems like an eternity, we've made it to the last door. "Our-" Lila pauses and glances at me, her eyes watering,"Our parents are in there Tessa. They have to love us." She says. By her voice, I can tell she is on the verge of crying. To be fair, I think a single tear has already fallen from my eye.
The last security guard pats is down, and we place our valuables in a locker.
"Ready?" He asks. We look up,"More than we'll ever be."
The door slides open.
I'm greeted by a pair of soft eyes. My mother. She has unkept hair just like us, with little white wisps. Her face is stress aged, little creases maker her look older than she should.
She throws a hand over her mouth,"My... my babies?" She stutters. We both nod, and there is suddenly a huge spark around us as we clash in a hug. She cries, squeezing with all her strength.
All the emotions and feelings are hitting so hard, I can't quite comprehend it. My mother. Corrupt with power, but my mother.
We back up, and seem to just take in the feeling in the room. She motions us to sit on the single bed.
"I- I'm sorry you had to meet me like this." She stutters, about to burst into tears ok. "No mama! It's ok! It's amazing to just see you!" I insist, lifting her blooming face. She smiles, giving me a kiss on the cheek.
Now starts the interrogation.
"How did you two find each other?" She asks. I laugh,"A couple instances. But we ended up almost setting a Starbucks bathroom on fire." I say.
Lila pipes in,"Our parents told us we were going to the academy, but we didn't realize what it actually was until we finally tested the fire. Now, they have us in the same dorm at the academy."
Mom nods,"That's amazing! You heard all about my corruption didn't they." She says guiltily, fiddling with her fingers.
Lila grabs her hand,"It's ok. We prayed that we could help you with that." She says. Mom smiles again. "I love you darlings, and I'm so sorry I couldn't raise you. Visitor time is almost over, and I have something to ask Tessa." She says, kissing Lila's forehead.
Lila frowns a bit, but agrees, and heads out. As she leaves Mom grabs my hand harshly. My face is overcome with fear, is she going to attack me?
"Tessa, I know Lila won't agree, but I need your help with something."

Lila's POV
I smile, hopping back in our dorm. Tessa decided to go find Nadia, so I figured I would take a nap to absorb all this information. I cant believe they were so warm and welcoming!
Surprise hits me when I realize Molli is flying in my room with another young fairy, the other girl sparkling light blue.
"Molli! Who is this!" I exclaim, closing the door to keep them from escaping. The other girl giggles, and they spin back to full size. The other fairy has light blue eyes, straight light blue hair and similar attire.
"Hi! I'm Karli Marshall! I am part fairy, just like my mom and Molli!" She says, giving me a hug. I laugh, "Where did you meet her?" Molli steps up,"She's my roommate. I thought you might want to meet her!"
I laugh, plopping on the bed. So far, this new life has been amazing.
