Enemy
The group was all together again in the cell block. Even Daryl was there.
They needed a plan.
Rick started to walk away from the argument.
"Get back here!" Herschel shouted.
Katie's eyes widened. She had never heard Herschel yell before. She stood up straighter, ready to defend Rick if she needed to.
Herschel lectured Rick.
Rick stormed outsides, angrily volunteering to be the lookout.
"I'm gonna go see my dad," Carl told Katie.
"Okay. Come get me if you need anything, " she said with a small smile.
Katie helped Carol clean around the cell block.
Cleaning was soothing to her. Before the world ended, she used to clean whenever she was stressed or upset. That's why her house was always sparkling. She was always stressed and upset.
Later on that day, Carl ran back into the cell block frantically, calling for Katie.
"Andrea is here," he said breathlessly.
The group ran out into the courtyard.
Katie left the baby with Herschel in the cell block.
Andrea came in with a walker in a leash.
Rick patted her down and checked for weapons.
The group gave her the cold shoulder.
They didn't trust her.
She was literally sleeping with the enemy.
Andrea pleaded her case.
"Your boyfriend came in here and put a truck through our fence and shot us up," Rick said.
"Honestly Andrea, you have awful, truly horrible taste in men. First you go for Shane and now 'The Governor'. Who's next? Hitler? Maybe Mussolini? Oh, I know! Stalin," Katie joked angrily.
She didn't care how bitchy she was towards Andrea.
The group was shocked to hear the Shane comment.
"How did you know about Shane?" Andrea asked quietly, her eyes wide.
"What? Was it not public knowledge that you gave him roadhead? My bad," Katie said sarcastically.
"Back to the point. We need to negotiate," Andrea said.
"There's nothing to negotiate," Rick snapped, storming out of the courtyard.
"I'll show you out," Michonne said to Andrea.
"Don't let the door hit you on the way out-- actually, let it hit you," Katie said with a sarcastic smile.
