Katie watched in disgust as Negan and Spencer set up the pool table.
Carl walked out of the house and stood next to Katie.
Olivia followed behind him.
"Where's Judith?" Katie asked quietly.
"I put her down for a nap," Olivia said softly.
Katie smiled and put her hand on Olivia's arm for a moment to say thank you.
"I could never do this with Rick. He would just be standing over there scowling, giving me that annoying side eye he gives me. Kind of like the one his super hot wife is giving me right now," Negan said with a chuckle.
"You sure you don't want to play, doll face?" Negan asked, licking his bottom lip.
"If I win, do I get to shove that pool stick up your ass?" Katie snapped.
Negan bit his lip and chuckled.
"Speaking of Rick, that's actually what I came here to see you about," Spencer interjected.
Negan sighed and looked at Spencer, annoyed that he had just interrupted his conversation with Katie.
"Alright. Talk to me, Spencer. Talk to me about Rick," Negan said, lining up his first shot.
Katie felt her blood starting to boil.
"I get what you're trying to do here, what you're trying to build--" Spencer started.
"You don't get shit!" Katie shouted angrily.
Negan held his hand up to silence her.
"Now, now, doll face. Let the man talk," Negan said condescendingly.
Katie scoffed and leaned her elbows against the fencing on the porch.
"I'm not saying I agree with your methods, but I get it. You're building a network. You're making people contribute for the greater good. It makes sense," Spencer continued.
"But you should know that Rick Grimes has a history of not working well with others," Spencer added.
"Spencer, if you kiss his ass any harder, your head might get stuck up his asshole," Katie snapped loudly, angry that Spencer would dare to betray her husband like this.
The group that had congregated around the pool table shifted uncomfortably in their places.
"It seems like he works well with Katie, here," Negan said with a smirk.
