Katie ran towards the gates.

Rosita, Spencer, and Eugene were already standing there.

Katie heard a man whistling brightly from the other side of the gate.

His menacing shadow was cast onto the canvas.

His baseball bat was slung over his shoulder.

He banged the bat on the metal bars.

"Little pig, little pig, let me in!" Negan sang.

Rosita shot a quick glance at Spencer.

Katie nodded to him.

Spencer stepped forward and pushed the canvas back, revealing Negan and his men.

"Well?" Negan said, obviously annoyed that the gate was still closed.

"Um, who are you?" Spencer asked.

How dumb is he? Katie thought to herself.

"Oh, you better be joking. Negan, Lucille. I know I had to make a pretty strong first impression," Negan said.

Rick walked up behind Katie quickly.

He took a step in front of her, wishing he could shield her from Negan and his men.

When Negan caught sight of Rick, he smiled.

"Well, hello there," Negan said.

"Do not make me have to ask," Negan threatened angrily.

Rick looked at Katie quickly with stress, fear, and concern in his eyes.

He quickly turned back around to open the gate for Negan.

"You said a week. You're early," Rick said.

The gate screeched open.

"I missed you," Negan said with a smile.

"But, I missed your hot little wife more. How you doing, doll face?" Negan said with a chuckle.

"I've been better," Katie said with a sarcastic smile.

A growling walker came around from behind one of Negan's trucks.

"Oh, Rick, come on out here. Watch this!" Negan said excitedly.

He turned around and started off towards the walker.

"Calling it!" Negan said with a laugh.

He swung the bat at the walker's head.

Katie closed her eyes for a moment because all she could think about was Abraham and Glenn.

"Easy peasy lemon squeeszy!" Negan cheered.
