Need
Rick and Katie stood up and started walking towards the group that had begun to gather by the wall.
They looked around at the destruction that had been done by the attackers that had been in the community earlier.
The Wolves had ravaged the community, but were defeated by the community's strongest members.
Alexandria lost a lot of people, but then again, so did the Wolves.
"You can hear it. Some of you saw it. They got back here, half of them," Rick said, walking up behind the group.
"Half is still enough to surround all of us twenty deep," Katie added, trying to explain the severity of the situation.
"Look, I know you're scared. You haven't seen anything like this. You haven't been through anything like this. But we're safe for now," Rick said to the group.
They still looked terrified.
"The panel the truck hit seems intact. We reinforce it just in case," Katie said, walking over to the panel in question.
"Either way, the wall is going to hold together. Can you?" Rick asked.
The community looked around at each other.
"The others. They're going to be back," Katie said.
"They're going to be back," Rosita agreed.
Katie and Rick nodded at her.
"Daryl, Abraham, Sasha, they have vehicles. They're gonna lead them away, just like the others. And Glenn and Nicholas are going to walk through those front gates after," Rick shouted inspirationally.
"They know what they're doing and we know what we need to do," Katie said to them.
"We keep noise to a minimum. Pull our blinds at night. Even better, keep the lights out. We'll try and keep this place quiet as a graveyard and see if they move on," Rick said.
"This place is a graveyard," interjected one of the women standing around.
"Well then, leave," Katie said quickly.
Aaron stepped forward, cutting off the fight that inevitably would ensue, knowing that Katie inevitably would win.
"The quarry broke open and those walkers were heading this way. All of them. The plan that Rick put into place stopped that from happening. He got half of them away. I was out there recruiting with Daryl. I wanted to try to get into a cannery and scavenge, and Daryl wanted to keep looking for people. We did what I wanted and we wound up in a trap set by those people. And I lost my pack. They must've followed our tracks. Those people who attacked us... they found their way back here because of me," Aaron said, obviously feeling guilty and ashamed of himself.
