Everything was ok well not many of us was talking when Clair left but Jess let out a piercing scream that knocked me for six I was shocked but she was clenching her side. Everyone that was in the room with us was just shocked, I ran over to her and sat down cradling her hand like it was a baby trying to make sense out of what was happening to my wife. Thousands of thoughts were rushing through my mind like, maybe she isn’t coping well without her kidney, what if she has an infection in her side, what happens if she blacks out, what happens if her other kidney gets infected because of the shock and stress of not having the other one there. All these thoughts occurred to me whilst I was cradling her hand and pressing the call button by her bed about a million times waiting for someone to come and help her at least.
Danny: Babe, Jess, Sweet heart talk to me what’s going on

No reply her screams still filling the room
Danny: babe please your scaring me, please don’t do this to me
Jessie: AHH! Danny Help me please! PLEASE!
Danny: Baby come on I need you to cooperate with me please I'm trying to help I've called someone please Jess please..

No reply once again, her breathing and heart rate on the monitor went off the scale
Danny: JESSIE PLEASE! Calm down please Your heart please Jess please stay with me come on babe keep it calm I'm here its ok
Her heart rate and breathing was going of like a rocket
Danny: SOMEONE DO SOMETHING FIND SOMEONE PLEASE
Mark: Mate calm down, for Jess….im going now Holly come to
Holly: o-ok
Jess at this point was shacking I don’t know whether it was out of fear or her condition I really don’t know but whatever this is its scaring the living shit out of me and I'm so scared right now. Ut soon the doctors came shooting in pushing me Mark and Holly out in the Hall leaving Glen there asleep in his bed oblivious to what was actually going on right next to him.
Danny: This is all your fault
I say pointing that towards Holly because maybe if Jess wasn’t so stressed or maybe if she wasn’t shouting earlier because of Holly maybe everything could have settled but no.
Holly: How the fuck is this my fault
Danny: Who’s the one been fucking stressing her and Clair out, YOU, so this is the outcome one of them went into early labour and the other one my wife I must add we don’t know what’s going on with her..
Holly: Hold you horses, Clair for a start we all knew her labour would be early we knew that second we knew that Maize was going to be ill and third me stressing Jess out was not my intention.
Danny: do you know what I can’t be fucked to fight with you because right now my wife I don’t know what condition she’s in and two Rosie is poorly and neither of us are there for her so my head has had enough of this bullshit Holly you meant to be her best friend.
Holly: you never even said about Rosie. And meant I am her best friend
Danny: so, and act like it then
Holly: I've fucking said sorry countless times and I really am do you really think I was to see my best friend lying like that whilst my other best friend is down there with her baby that could die my head has been through a lot this past few weeks like I said.
Mark: what could be so big that you have to bite everyone’s head off including Glens because I've had enough of everyone bickering today I have a headache
Holly: I c-cant tell you, I haven’t told Glen yet I haven’t found the right time because I just don’t know why I feel as if I've let him down because I have
Danny: tell us Holly because I'm bored of your excuses
Holly: ok ok, I errr I lost is baby 2 weeks ago..
She then breaks down and me and Mark stand there shocked I think now we realise what she meant by these past few weeks have been stressful and I've had a lot on my mind it all seems to add up now and I feel quite bad for making her spill and having a go at her about Jess and Clair for that matter I feel real bad I think so does mark for making her spill. Me and mark both incroth her in a massive hug when the Nurse comes out from Jessie and Glens room.
Nurse: Mr O’Donoghue?
Danny: Y-yeah that’s me
Nurse: can I talk to you about Jessica’s condition please?
Danny: of course you can
Nurse: well as you obviously know she gave her left kidney earlier on to save Mr…erm…Glen Power am I correct?
Danny: yes that’s correct
Nurse: so I'm gussing are you..let me look…Ms Holly Palmer yes or no
Holly: yeah that’s me
Nurse: well I’d like to tell you that Mr Power has now got through the stages of the kidney not connecting and Jessica’s kidney has save his life
Holly: thank you, and Jess
Nurse: as you all know Jessica was at risk with her heart during the surgery, she has had what we call a heart defect but have managed to stabilize her. her breathing was a bit off so we have given her an oxygen mask for the time being her face is a bit drained and we have given her some morphine for the pain she is asleep due to the morphine being so strong but should wake up in the next hour she should be fine but if anything happens hit the buzzer and I will come straight in.
Danny: thank you so much
I smile at the nurse and we all walk back into the room the nurse was right her face did look sunken and she did look drained she was hooked up to so many different wires I was almost afraid to hold her hand in thought id break her…
