Enjoy.

Katelyn POV

"So they fired you?" He sat on the couch flicking through channels.

"Yeah pretty much." He seemed awfully calm to have just been fired from his job. I grabbed the remote and turned the tv off.

"Um, this is serious Kendall!" I stared at him with wide eyes. He sighed and stood up. "Why are you so calm?" He put his hands on my shoulders and looked at me.

"Babe," he looked like he was trying to think, "they need me and clearly they ate a bowl of crazy flakes or something because they need to be known for something and that'll be math because they'll get tons and tons of funding. I'm gonna take this to the board and explain why I am a necessity." He was so sure of himself, but I was still worried for him.

"When are you going to take this to the board?" He held up a finger, indicating for me to wait. He pulled out his phone.

"I'm going to go in two days. Don't worry, I'll be back to work in no time." I nodded slowly.

"Alright, if you're so sure of yourself." He shrugged.

"I'm very sure of myself." He picked up his beer and took a sip.

"Don't you worry, everything will be fine." He gave me a kiss on the cheek. I gave him an uncertain look and he gave me a cheeky grin. We shared a laugh.

"So, what're you going to do for two days?" He shook his head.

"It'll bore you, but it is so entertaining to me." I cocked my eyebrow.

"What is it?"

"Math problems." He laughed. "I love to make difficult math problems up and share them with some of my friends..." I thought it was so cute that he absolutely loved math.

"What friends are you talking about?" shrugged.

"I guess they're really not my friends, but they're people I often talk to online and we all love math, so..." I punched his arm lightly.

"Aww, you have math buddies." He glared at me and sat down at his desk in his office. We were over his house because I was off of work and he didn't have a job at the moment, so I came over to bother him. He logged on to his computer. "Do you video chat?" He shook his head.

"Just voice." I nodded and sat next to him. He opened one of his drawers and pulled a manila folder out labeled, 'Problem Set 154'.

"What's that?" He looked at me and then back at the folder.

"This," he opened the folder and started going through papers, "is all the problems that I've created, this is the 154th set-." I cut him off.

"You've created 154 sets?!" He nodded and went through the papers like they were nothing. "How many pages per set." He was very focused on the math problems.

"Depends, my longest has been 50, my shortest has been 20. 154 at the moment is 30, but I'll continue to add to it until I feel that the properties that I am presenting have fully been used and explained." I nodded slowly. He really was a genius, I would've never been able to do any of this.

A few minutes later, I heard a dinging noise, it was coming from his laptop." His head snapped up and he grabbed a headset with a microphone and put it on. Before he answered, he turned to me.

"Please don't be too loud. I don't want these math, nerd, weirdos, to hear you. It's probably the first time they've ever heard a girl other than their mom." I chuckled and gave him a thumbs up. He answered the phone. "Mathinator, how are you?" Mathinator. Wow. I gave him a questioning look and he gave me the 'I don't know either' look. I heard a fairly high voice come in, but I knew it wasn't a woman's.

"K Radical, what's up man?" I heard faintly and Kendall looked at me. K Radical, interesting. He muted his voice and looked at me.

"Radicals, you know, square roots and-." I put my hand up.

"Got it K Radical." He glared at me and I chuckled at him. He unmuted his voice and I assume they began to talk about math problems and stuff. I learned a lot actually, but I forgot it five minutes later. Fortunately, they did it only for 20 minutes because Mathinator had to get home in time for dinner: made by his mom. Kendall took his headset off and looked at me.

"You probably think I'm the ultimate nerd now." I chuckled at him and shook my head. I ran my hand through his hair as he closed his eyes.

"I think it's very cute. I have a very smart boyfriend." He smiled and opened his eyes.

"Maybe we could do math together!" He got all excited and I shook my head slowly.

"I can't even do half the stuff you know how to do. That can be something you and your friends can share. We, on the other hand, will share love." He titled his head from side to side. Such a jerk. "Wow." He laughed and waved me off.

"I'm just kidding, I love sharing love with you because I love you." I gave him a long lingering kiss. He smiled and pulled away. We left his office and he went to go do something in the kitchen. I went to his living room and sat on the couch. Kendall had some high-class furniture because I could fall asleep on his couch instantly.

He came back and sat in the chair that was diagonal across from the couch face me.

"Didn't want to sit next to me I see. I see how it is." He shrugged and smirked.

"You'll be fine." We talked for a while and then we started talking about the what we both wanted to do in the future and then I popped the question.

"Am I included in your future?" He looked taken back a bit.

"Am I included in your  future?" I shook my head.

"I asked first." His face was not readable at the moment and I really wanted to know if he meant what he was going to say or if he didn't.

"I hope you're in my future, if fate says we'll be together, then we shall be." I nodded.

"Alrighty then. You're in my future as well."

"As a husband?"

"I hope so."

Hey guys hope you enjoyed this chapter. Until Next Time.
