Well, here's the last chapter. Enjoy.
Kendall POV
A few years later
"I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." I lifted up her veil and gave her a passionate kiss. An eruption of claps came from the audience and I pulled away. I looked into her eyes deeply and she was crying, full of emotion. I grabbed her hand and turned toward the audience. I looked at Kaylie who was standing next to me. I grabbed her hand and we walked down the aisle.
We got into the limo that my dad rented for us, which I'm glad because I probably wasn't gonna pay for it, but if Katelyn really wanted it, I would've. I heard a mixture of 'congratulations' and 'I'm so happy for you' as we got into the limo.
I kissed Katelyn and we smiled at each other.
"Well this day finally came." I said. She smiled at me.
"I'm so glad it did." I looked over at Kaylie who was sitting, looking out the window. I motioned my head toward Kaylie and Katelyn nodded at me. I slid to the other set of seats against the window.
"Hey." Kaylie looked at me and gave me a small smile.
"Hi...Dad." I engulfed her in a huge hug and kissed her on the cheek. "I'm so happy you're my dad." She actually was gonna make me cry. I'm sure Katelyn was about to burst into tears.
"I'm so happy you're my daughter." I kissed her cheek again.
The rest of the day consisted of us going to the reception and celebrating with our families the entire night. It was full of dancing, singing and plenty of embarrassing stories. I had to get my brothers off the mic. It was about one am and the limo driver had just pulled into our house.
I paid him and then went inside the house. I was exhausted. I plopped on the couch in my suit.
"Goodnight Dad." Kaylie came over and kissed my cheek.
"Goodnight Kaylie." I kissed her cheek and she went off to her room. We had moved into a bigger house, it was very nice. It was in a desirable neighborhood and we had more than enough privacy. We didn't live in a rural area, but a nice suburban area where we had plenty of space between the next neighbor.
I guess I fell asleep because I felt someone taking my jacket off and unbuttoning my vest. Katelyn. I woke up and I saw her putting my jacket on the couch.
"I didn't mean to wake you, you just looked uncomfortable." I sighed and took the rest of my vest off.
"Yeah, I was, but I still slept somehow. Let's go to bed." I took her hand and we went upstairs to our bedroom.
"Our first night sleeping together as husband and wife." I smirked and got under the covers.
"Indeed. I can't wait for the future." I kissed her. "I remember when you first walked into my classroom Katelyn."
"Oh yeah?"
"Yeah...when you walked in I was like, damn, she is hot." She chuckled. "Then you started coming in more frequently because you were pissed at me."
"See, if I would've never been on your ass, we might've not been together." I nodded.
"Very true. I didn't ever think I would have the guts to tell you that I liked you more than a friend. I honestly never thought I would...I remember going over and over and saying, no, no, I'm not gonna do it." I saw her body turn toward me, her head laying on the back of her hand, dividing her from the pillow. "But then you pestered me. You made me tell you, I was like fuck it, I'm gonna say it. I did and...now here we are." She kissed my cheek. "You always made me so nervous, I've never been more nervous in my entire life."
"I always thought you were stuck up." I nodded.
"My ego is bigger than this entire house."
"But you watch out for Kaylie and I. You always put us first."
"I do, but when it comes to others. I'm the absolute shit. I'm damn good." I smiled at her. She slapped my chest lightly.
"Let's be selfless Kendall."
"Yeah, yeah."
"I always thought you were very cute."
"Yeah?" She nodded.
"I just loved the way you dressed, those plaid shirts always looked good on you and your pristine, not a spec of dirt skater shoes." I let out a snobby sigh.
"I do take my shoes seriously." She laughed lightly. I looked at her for a moment. Then I put my hand under my pillow. "I got you something." She raised her eyebrows. It's just an I love you present. I took the long velvet box from under the pillow.
She took it and opened it, there lay a beautiful diamond necklace. She looked up at me in awe.
"Kendall...it's beautiful." I shrugged.
"Not as beautiful as you, put it on, so you can make it look better." She turned and I put it around her neck. "There ya go."
"I love you."
"I love you." We kissed. "I've got a math equation for you."
"What is it?"
"Me plus you, equals?"
"Lots of love." I chuckled.
"I think you might wanna check your work on that one." I joked. She slapped my chest lightly.
"Don't test me Mr. Schmidt."
