This is a special chapter if you will, it will be Katelyn and Kendall's perspective. Enjoy.
Katelyn POV
There must've been 8,000 kisses all over Kendall's face when he came through my front door. I was so grateful for him going to the Father's Day thing at school. I know he's not all touchy-feely type of person, but he was doing this for Kaylie and I really thought that was sweet of him.
"Katelyn. Katelyn. My face is kissed out, you have literally been doing this for five minutes." He said. He held me as I got off of my tip toes, I wrapped my arms around his neck and looked up at him. "I assume that was my thank you." I chuckled and nodded.
"That was a major thank you. I just can't believe that you would be there as a father for her." He shrugged.
"Why not?" I caressed his face.
"Because you're not her father and he's supposed to be doing this, but since you've found out how much of an asshole he is, you went for him." He furrowed his eyebrows and shook his head.
"I'm not going because of how much of an asshole her father is and that since I'm your boyfriend, I'm obligated to take the father position. I'm going because I love her and I see her as my own." I gave him a huge kiss on the lips and pulled away to look at him. How did I get so lucky? "I have you to thank for that though." I gave him a look. "Because before I met you, I wouldn't have done half of the shit I do for you and Kaylie. I wouldn't have even considered them if they had a kid because they weren't as special as you and Kaylie are to me," he shook his head and continued, "I never thought I would do this for someone...thank you."
I kissed him again, for a long, long time. I heard a cough when we were like five minutes into kissing. I pulled away and there stood Kaylie in her dress. She looked absolutely beautiful. I went over to her and gave her a big hug.
"You look so beautiful." She groaned and slightly hugged me back. She wasn't much of a dress person, but when she did wear one, she looked gorgeous. "Oh cheer up." She put on her best fake smile.
"Kaylie, you do look beautiful." She put a thumbs up and stood next to Kendall. I gave him a 'I have to get a picture' look and he rolled his eyes. He put his arm around Kaylie and motioned for me to get the camera.
I ran over to my phone like a kid in a candy store. I held it up happily and took like 100 pictures. I could tell they were getting agitated, but I needed these memories. 150 photos later, I was finally done taking pictures.
"Alright, all finished." They sighed and stepped away from each other a bit. Kaylie was staring daggers at me. "I had to capture the moment!" Kendall chuckled and leaned against the wall and watched her glare.
"Alright, Kaylie we should probably go." She went next to him and he turned to look at me. "I'll bring her back at a reasonable time mom." I pushed him slightly and then pushed them to the door.
"You have fun kids."
Kendall POV
I opened the car door for Kaylie and she looked at me.
"What?"
"You don't have to act all formal." I put my hand on my chest.
"Excuse me for being a gentleman." She laughed at me and got into the car. We had here and there conversations on our way to the school, which was okay.
I pulled into my designated parking spot at the school, literally, no one could park here but me. If someone did park here, there was going to be a serious problem. I took my seat belt off and got out the car.
"I was gonna open the door again." She shrugged and we went into the dimly lit school. I looked around and there were signs leading to the gym. "I'm pretty sure you've been here before, right?" She put her finger on her chin. I chuckled.
"Maybe a few times." We laughed together and then came to the gym entrance. I started walking in, but was pulled back by Kaylie.
"What's wrong?" She sighed and leaned closer to me.
"Do you think everyone will be looking at us since you're the math teacher and you're with me. They're gonna think you're my dad." Oh yeah, I kind of forgot about that. Well, they were just gonna have to look because Kaylie wanted to come to this dance and I was gonna take her.
I held out my arm for her to take and nodded toward the gym.
"We're gonna go in here and not give a shit about what anyone thinks and don't tell your mom I said shit in front of you." She nodded.
"I don't know why she freaks. I'm not five." I laughed as I remembered Katelyn being all protective.
"Explain that to her." We walked in and almost immediately, eyes were on us. Like got damn, can we get through the door. "Don't even acknowledge them." I whispered to Kaylie. We went over to the snack table and got drinks.
Kaylie was looking around and the staring had died down.
"I'm going to go and talk to my friends, if you don't mind." I waved her off.
"Go, leave me all alone right here with all these middle aged men." She busted out laughing.
"You can talk about politics." I shook my head.
"Hell to the no." She went away and I watched her walk to her group of friends, which I assume, asked why the hell she was here with me. I turned away and I was face to face with a man.
Not just a man, but Dean.
Hope you enjoyed. Until Next Time.
