Katelyn POV
I was wrapping presents for Kaylie because she was over her friend's house at the moment, so it was a great time to wrap her gifts. When it came to wrapping, I was a sensei. I had the Scotch tape on my belt ready for me to grab another piece and bring two folds together. I made sure the design matched up throughout the wrapped paper and everything.
I heard knocking at my door. I sat the present on the table and went to the door. I opened it and saw Kendall who looked more annoyed than usual. I kissed him on the lips and he walked in.
"Someone doesn't look happy." He sighed and turned around to face me.
"I'm not. At all." I went up to him and crossed my arms.
"It's the most joyous time of year, why aren't you happy?"
"My brothers are coming into town." I smiled.
"That's good, I wanna meet them." He shook his head and grabbed my hands.
"My brothers will want to date you and everything. I don't want them seeing you." I put my hands up.
"Not my fault I'm attractive, but I do wanna meet your brothers and then you can meet my family." He groaned and I gave him a glare.
"I'm not good with new people..." I put hand on his shoulder.
"You'll be fine, besides, my family isn't that bad. My mother, my father and my brother."
"I didn't know you had a brother..." I shook my head.
"Unfortunately."
I went back to the table and continued to wrap presents. I felt Kendall walk beside me and he looked amused at my wrapping set up.
"Don't judge."
"Don't worry baby." He chuckled. He fiddled with my wrapping paper until I slapped his hand. He gave me a puppy dog pout and went to fiddle with something else. "Where's the mighty Kaylie?"
"Over a friend's house." I heard a soft 'oh'.
"What does Kaylie want for Christmas?" I stopped wrapping and thought what else she would want.
"Well these three gifts here, I got those covered, but she really wants a laptop, which is not something you have to get her, that's too expensive."
"She's my daughter, so I'll get her the laptop." I smiled.
"Glad you got that gift covered." He chuckled and helped me wrap other presents I had. After that, we decided to watch TV in my room.
Kendall stole the remote and flipped through channels.
"Oooh reality tv." I turned toward him and gave him a weird look.
"You watch that?" He nodded and flipped through more channels.
"It's very entertaining." I patted his forehead and he grunted.
We ended up going to his house because he wanted to show me that he could bake cookies better than me, which of course, wasn't true at all. He left me downstairs and went to go sleep in his room. I wonder if Kaylie got home? I don't know, she's alright I'm sure.
I never looked at Kendall's house in depth, I'll go explore, I'm sure he wouldn't mind. His house was big for him being the only one here. I looked at the pictures on the wall, he did the slightest smile in all of them with his family.
Those must be his brothers, they looked just like him. I saw his math certificates, his awards from his competitions. Then, I heard a knock at the door. Oh...should I answer Kendall's door? I shrugged and walked over and opened it. I saw two men about my age. They saw me and they smiled with their eyes wide.
"Hello there." Said one of the them. "I'm Kevin." He held out his hand and I shook it, he brought it to his lips and kissed it. I smiled.
"I'm Kenneth." The other one said, he just shook my hand. "We're Kendall's brothers." They looked familiar, they're the ones I saw in the pictures.
"I'm Katelyn, Kendall and I are boyfriend and girlfriend." They looked at each other in shock.
"Girlfriend?!" They said in unison. I nodded and laughed.
"Never did I think in a million years a beautiful girl like you would go for an asshole like him." Kevin said.
"Eh, he's alright." They laughed and we went and sat in the living room.
"So where is he?" Kenneth asked.
"He's out like a light, dead sleep." They laughed.
"Our brother hasn't changed one bit, he needs sleep though." I looked at Kenneth with a confused look.
"Why's that?"
"He hasn't told you?" Kevin said. I shook my head. They looked at each other. "Do you like tea?" I nodded slowly, "Good, because we're going to need some." After they both went into his kitchen and made tea for all three of us, it was story time.
"So, I'm sure you know Kendall is a mathematical genius." Kenneth said. I nodded, "Well, when we were teenagers, Kendall got really serious about his math and he began do to do problems for hours and hours straight, no breaks. He wanted to be top notch a competitions, but since he stayed up for hours and hours, he got major sleep deprivation." Wow, Kendall was super serious about math.
"So, when he became sleep deprived, he began to have psychological problems. He began to see things." I looked at Kevin, taken back. He never told me any of this.
"When Kendall did go to sleep and still to this day, he has major nightmares. Like, they're very serious." I furrowed my eyebrows.
"He never makes a peep when he sleeps with me." Kenneth and Kevin looked at each other.
"Then you're the answer he's been waiting for."
"Hey!" I looked toward the entrance of the living room and saw Kendall in sweatpants and a shirt. "What's going on in here?"
"Hey bro what's up?" Kevin said. Kendall looked at me, then looked at the tea in my hands and in Kevin and Kenneth's.
"Tea? What-." Then quickly he glared death daggers at Kevin and Kenneth.
"What the hell did you tell her?!" He spat at them.
Hope you liked the chapter. Christmas is only a couple days away for those of you that celebrate. Happy Holidays.
