Kendall POV
My brothers have better not said jack shit about me to Katelyn because there are big things that I haven't told her yet. I have a feeling, a strong gut feeling, that they opened their damn mouths.
Kenneth put the tea down on the side table next to the chair and walked over to me. He still had on his coat, so they must've got here only a bit ago.
"Um, hello little bro. I've missed you, how are you?" He leaned in to hug me, but I pushed him away.
"Yeah, yeah. What did you guys tell her?"
"Kendall leave them alone. Even if they did tell me something, why haven't you told me already since whatever you think they could tell me is that important?" I turned around and she had her arms crossed. I put my hands on my face and slid them down.
"Maybe I wanted to tell you." I glared at my brothers. They rolled their eyes.
"Is that really why you're so mad about what they could've told me?" She looked at me like she didn't believe a word I was saying. Man, why did she have to know me so well.
".....no." I muttered.
"Katelyn you have a major effect on him, I've never seen him this way." My lovely brother Kevin said.
"You shut it!" He put his hands up and I looked back at Katelyn. "I just haven't told you some things yet..."
"Like you get nightmares." My eyes literally popped out of their sockets. I was so pissed, they told her! They told her the one thing that literally sent me over the edge and almost made realize that this life wasn't worth living if it was going to be filled with nightmares every damn night.
"She deserves to know Kendall." Kenneth said. I got in his face. He sighed and looked down. "It may not have been our place to tell her, but face it, if you didn't tell her by now, you know you were never going to tell her Kendall. We were just trying to let her know because she loves you." I pointed at his chest and poked his chest every word I said.
"It. Was. Not. Your. Place. Kenneth. And. Kevin." Kevin sat his cup down.
"We're gonna let you cool off before you explode like a volcano." Kenneth put his scarf on.
"Thanks for the welcome...bro." Kevin said. They nodded at me and walked out the door. I massaged my temples and turned toward Katelyn.
"Is it true what they said? You wouldn't have told me. We love each other. Why would you not tell me?" I ran my hands through my hair frustratedly.
"I never thought I would have to because when I sleep with you, they don't come, but when I'm not sleeping with you, you wouldn't hear me because I'd be at my house. Besides, it's fine, I'm used to them." She came up to me and shook her head.
"No, it's not fine, if you get crazy nightmares, that has an effect on you and then you can't sleep. God, what do you do when you're not sleeping with me?" She grabbed both sides of my face. I grabbed one of her hands, held it and shrugged.
"I just drink a lot of coffee, let's say that." She shook her head.
"Maybe you can go under some kind of hypnosis..." I scrunched my face up.
"Hypnosis?" She shrugged.
"Or maybe, you could just sleep with me all the time." I chuckled.
"I don't know how that's gonna happen. Unless we move in together..." She nodded slowly.
"Even if we did sleep together all the time, there is gonna be a case when I'm not sleeping with you and those damn nightmares are going to come back. We need to go see someone Kendall and I'm serious." It was time to get this checked out. I've been dealing with this since I was 16 and now I'm in my twenties.
