The end is near. Enjoy.

Kendall POV

I was at my desk playing with my phone. Students were at lunch, so that gave me a nice break. Even though I probably should've been utilizing this time for lesson plans, but that's so much work. I heard a knock and I looked up. There was a woman standing at the entrance.

Man, she was pretty.

"Excuse me?" She said in a small voice, she seemed a bit nervous. I got up and smiled a bit.

"Yes, how may I help you?"

"Are you Mr. Schmidt?" I nodded. "I'm the replacement for Ms. Kelly, right next door. They said you have the key?" Oh yeah, I did. By the way, I was ecstatic when they told me Ms. Kelly was getting replaced. Yes!

I walked passed her to go next door. I opened the room for her and handed her the key. She smiled up at me and took it.

"Thank you, Mr. Schmidt, you seem very nice." I shrugged and smiled at her. She had long brown her and light brown eyes. She looked gorgeous.

"Call me Kendall."

"I'm Hazel Smith." I shook her hand.

"Well, I'm very glad you're here. Ms. Kelly wasn't exactly the best teacher and I'm sure you're a million times better than she ever could've been." She chuckled.

"Thanks, that's very nice of you." She looked around the room.

"Would you like a hand with your boxes?" I smiled at her.

"Yes, please." Before I knew it, we had set everything she had up in the classroom and we talked for the rest of my break. She had a great personality and she was great at math, even though she was the English teacher. It seemed like we just meshed so well with each other.

After school, I went back to her office where she was setting up little things she had left.

"I feel like I can tell you anything," I told her. She looked back at me.

"Same with you, I had such a great time talking to you." We talked for hours and hours and it was well passed the school day and I'm sure we were the only ones left in the building besides the janitors.

"No way." She slapped my chest lightly. She nodded.

"It's true, I was in that same competition." I just found out that we were in the same competition together at the same time, it brought back a bunch of memories. I remember she almost beat me. She let out her angelic laugh again and I smiled at her. "We should get together sometimes, I love talking to you." I nodded.

"Of course we can get together. Let me know when you're free."

"I'll always be free when you wanna do something," I smirked.

"I would love to stay and chat, but I have to go." She pouted and I patted her shoulder.

"Give me your phone number, we'll talk later tonight maybe." She told me hers and I texted her my number. "Sweet, I'll see you tomorrow." I gave her a tight embrace and one last smile before I walked out the classroom door.

"Kendall." I looked up and saw Katelyn. Oh you've got to be fucking kidding me. How late was it? I looked at my watch, 8:00! Oh she was pissed.

"Katelyn, I'm so sorry I wasn't home earlier. I got-." She nodded.

"Yeah, I know. You were talking in there with her. She'll always be free when you want to do something and she can tell you anything, just like you with her." Damn she was standing there for a while.

"Babe, I didn't mean anything by it, I've just found a really good friend." She walked closer to me.

"I peeked in and saw how you look at her." I crossed my arms.

"How do I look at her?" I asked annoyed.

"Like you look at me." She looked completely hurt. My face softened and I took her hands, but she pulled them back.

"Katelyn." She shook her head and her eyes started watering up. She jogged down the hall and turned the corner. Son of a bitch.

I went downstairs of the school and saw her crying on the bench at the entrance. I kneeled down next to her and tried to get her to look at me.

"Katelyn."

"Fuck you." I rolled my eyes.

"Baby, please. Do you not trust me?" She looked up at me. Her eyes were red and puffy.

"I did, until I saw the way you looked at her. I know you, Kendall, I can tell when you really like something, you like her."

"I don't like her."

"Yes you do."She wasn't someone I wanted to date, but I will admit, I'm attracted to her. There are just so many things I like about her. Within a matter of hours, we clicked like we had known each other our entire lives.

"She's pretty, yes I'm attracted to her." Katelyn looked torn at the word attracted.

"She's not you. She can never be you. Even if I did like her, I love you. I love you so much, no one is gonna change that, she's not gonna changed that." Whether she liked it or not, I brought my lips to hers. She was kissing back, but I could tell there was still something off.

"Let's just go..." She got up and headed toward the door. My work things were still in my room, but I'll get that tomorrow. Katelyn was more important. She walked slowly to her car and I followed behind her.

I ran my hands through my hair. She went to her car and I opened the door for her.

"I'll see you at home."

"Ok..." She said small. It was still bothering her. I got into my car and followed her. I didn't dare take a detour or a quick stop.

I wanted Katelyn to know I was with her 100%, not just in the sense of me following her in the car.

In our relationship, that'll last a lifetime.

Hope you guys liked it. Until Next Time.
