Karma leisurely made his way down the hill he was perched on, stuffing his hands in his pockets.
He kept his expression politely bored as he made his way into the crowds of people waiting for the fireworks. The demon was careful to not draw attention to himself. He was well aware that he couldn't just approach the blue-haired boy and attempt to befriend and steal him away. Well, for the most part. This all had to be done accordingly.

Eventually, he found himself a few people behind his prey. Demon senses were quite helpful.

For awhile, he just watched the angel. He appeared to be at ease, chatting with a green-haired girl by his side. Karma's lazy smile dropped slightly. Right. He forgot that most angels in the mortal world would have companions. The last angel he'd destroyed hadn't had any, which was odd. Nevertheless, it made his job much easier. But this one... Karma stared in her direction.
She seemed like the clingy type.

"Well," Karma murmured lowly aloud to himself, a smirk making it's way back onto his lips, "this'll be fun."

"Are you excited for the fireworks, Nagisa?" Kayano asked, her eyes sparkling.

Nagisa turned towards his friend with a smile. "Yes I am. Thank you for taking me, Kayano."

"It was nothing," Kayano grinned, in her normal cheery spirits, "Want me to go get us snacks? The show should be starting soon!"

"Oh! Um, sure," Nagisa replied, before hesitating, "do you want money? It isn't right for you to pay for all of this..."

"It's my treat!" Kayano piped cheerfully, before skipping off.

Nagisa sighed, smiling slightly. Kayano was still sweet as ever. Still... his smile dropped. He was supposed to be an angel. Why did he feel this way? Ever since he'd started this job, something had changed inside of him. Nagisa wasn't able to identify what is was, or if it was good or bad. He just knew something was different.

The blue-haired angel was so lost in thought he didn't even realize the male that crept up besides him.

"Ah, I've been meaning to catch you alone," a voice drawled smoothly. Nagisa's blue eyes shot up to the speaker, gasping.

His first thought... How'd he let himself get lost in thoughts so fast?! His second thought, this stranger was breathtakingly handsome. He had flame red hair that went well with his sharp golden eyes. His form was tall and slender, but Nagisa could recognize the muscles in his arms.

Nagisa dropped his gaze to the ground, feeling self-conscious and shy in the presence of this man for some strange reason. "Why were you looking for me?"

"Won't you look at me?" The man cooed, and Nagisa suddenly felt two fingers gently tilt his chin up so their eyes met. The blue-haired angel's breath caught.

His gaze was calculating yet mischievous, and Nagisa felt drawn into him. The male's eyes were a beautiful golden, and they held a strange curiosity that made Nagisa's feel slightly wary. Nagisa shook his head, brushing it off as just him being on edge from the dark cloud he'd noticed. He shouldn't judge so quickly, he scolded himself. The red-haired one smirked down at him.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Karma Akabane."

"N-nice to meet you too," Nagisa stuttered out, "Nagisa Shiota."

"Well," Karma began with a lazy grin, "to answer your question from before, you drew my interest."

Nagisa waited for him to elaborate, but he didn't.
"O-oh," he squeaked out, cursing his weak voice.

Karma laid down a few feet away from him, gazing up at the sky. "We should stay in touch. I'm sure we'll know each other better soon if we do. Besides, I don't want to waste an opportunity to become friends with a cute boy like you~" Karma flirted shamelessly, causing Nagisa to blush a deep red.

Karma's golden eyes glittered with amusement. This angel-Nagisa- he was quite cute. This was certainly going to be a fun challenge.

Silence fell over the two of them after that. Nagisa anxiously awaited for Kayano's return. Maybe then this stranger- Karma- would go away. But at the same time...

"Nagisa!" Kayano called out cheerfully. Coincidence?

"Oh hi Kayano," Nagisa smiled, hiding his relief.

"Is this your friend?" Karma asked casually, as if they were close friends already.

Nagisa's gaze snapped over to him. He was still laying on the ground, his hands behind his head. He'd turned to face their direction, but made no effort to move anymore.
"Y-yeah she is," Nagisa replied, trying to steady his voice. He was aware of Kayano's confusion behind him, but his gaze was locked with Karma's.

There was something about the red-haired male that just drew Nagisa towards him. It was something about his presence that just demanded the attention of whoever he was talking to.

However, at the same time, there were warning bells ringing in his head. Yet... Nagisa wasn't sure he was going to listen to the warnings.
