Spring break!

Karma and Nagisa walked out, Karma's arm around Nagisa's waist protectively. The angel didn't protest- he'd missed the red-haired demon. As they approached the door, however, it opened. A familiar face appeared.

"Terasaka?" Nagisa hummed, the boy having completely slipped his mind for the time being. His gift felt hotter in his pocket. Terasaka had saved his life.

"Nagisa?" Terasaka sounded shocked, his eyes taking in the blue-haired fallen angel. Nagisa felt Karma stiffen, his arm tugging him closer.

"Don't you work under Asano, Terasaka?" Karma drawled causally, with an undertone of hatred. His golden eyes flashed with a threat, and Terasaka stepped back. His gaze turned to Nagisa, as if to say 'you promised..'

And Nagisa had every intention of honoring that promise. "It's ok," Nagisa murmured, touching Karma's arm with a wisp of a touch, "he helped me."

The fallen angel reached out a hand to pull out the knife. "This was his gift to me, and he helped me escape."

Karma relaxed noticeably. He flashed a smirk at Terasaka. "I suppose I should thank you for saving my angel. And I'm sorry your stuck with Asano, it takes brains to see who's best."

Nagisa sighed. "Karma," he protested. The demon turned his eyes to Nagisa. They were hungry with desire. The fallen angel stepped close, resting his head against the demon's chest. If Kayano saw him right now, she'd flip. Her fellow angel, now a fallen angel who just visited Satan and fell in love with a powerful demon who he was now hugging in hell.
She was probably already flipping, considering Nagisa hadn't contacted her at all since he'd been kidnapped. And for all he knew, that could've been weeks.

Hearing Terasaka's angry noises, Nagisa turned again. The other demon was glaring daggers at Karma. Nagisa shot him a look.

"Yeah yeah, fine," Terasaka grumbled after seeing Nagisa's expression. The last thing they needed was another fight. Honestly, Nagisa just wanted to get back so him and Karma could talk.

"Thanks, Terasaka," Nagisa added gratefully as they slipped past. All he received was a nod in return.

"Asano kept his hands off you, yes?" Karma asked this casually, and if Nagisa wasn't paying attention, he could've missed the dangerous lowness that had a clearly pronounced threat written in it.

"Yeah," Nagisa hummed, "he only kept me in a cage in near darkness."

Karma let out a growl. "I will eviscerate him for even daring to kidnap you."

Nagisa winced. "Karma, he didn't hurt me! We're fine now."

The demon gave a dark laugh. "Ah, Nagisa-chan, don't defend him. We might as well end the little competition we share."

Nagisa felt a flutter of worry fly through his chest. "Competition?"

Karma didn't respond immediately.

"Karma," Nagisa hummed, brimming with curiosity. The demon deflected it.

"Let's get you home before this environment has any long lasting effect on your health."

The fallen angel frowned, but stayed silent as he followed Karma through the fiery darkness.
